Its a good knife got mine in 3v fully kitted out. For the price of architect and how customizable they are they cant be beat. I think architect is the love child of esee, tops and white river.

All you need to do is get a peace of wood that not all Dried out.get better wood that you can with thats the problem i see with every person useing a knife try to show us ....they always get a old Dried piece of wood..get a piece of newer wood

@spectermad9180 thanks for the advice, I should have split the first piece of wood and tried feather sticks with it. Realistically most people probably will be using green wood out in a survival situation so I should probably take that approach. Let's face the truth in a bad situation are we really going to spend all day looking for old dry wood or are we going to try and get whatever we can get our hands on. Thank you for watching and commenting. Definitely gives me something to ponder.

@butcher_pete91 I'd rate it a 6 out of 10. I've had the opportunity to handle a few hooey blades and the quality control is hit or miss. Some seem very well made and others have gaps and issues. If your looking for high quality take a look at Jack Wolf knives. I'd only buy another hooey if I can check it at the store first to make sure I'm getting a good one.

I just ordered it. Its shape is perfect for camping blade not to thick, blade full flat which is perfect for cutting and i like the blade which is wider than handel this is perfect for food preps when cut vegetables and you can use all the blade not only the belly like other knives.

Hey I got this great custom splitter! In fact, it's so good that the one thing I'm not going to show in the video about a splitter is me using it as a splitter. I'll chop, slice, dice, and julienne, but no splitting will I show, that would be titling the video correctly instead of doing a bait and switch as is so common. Thumbs down for not doing the one thing that you bragged about in the title.

i love this knife. it wasn’t sitting in the sheath right and i wasn’t thinking about it and actually pushed it through the stitching which would be difficult to do if this knife didn’t cut like a laser beam.

no coating if you're not oiling your knife then you are going to see. rust. the coating comes off in my food or my meat just take care of your knifes that's the only reason I haven't bought it yet good design knife company's having some one design something out of there wheel house if there worried about staning the knife use stainless steels this why I have one esee good knife striped the coating won't do it again

Just got mine. The handle is all wrong ! :-( Optimised for throwing (who would throw their sword in battle : their primary arm), it doesn't sit or balance well. The handle is too narrow, doesn't fill the hand like a knife of this size needs it to. Needs a palm swell, at least, not thin slab scales The narrow end (for throwing), is wrong too! . This knife NEEDS a kukri type hook on the pommel end, to lock the handle into your hand when swinging the blade. A difficult blade to control, given it's fairly heavy; and front heavy at that! I got probably the first one in Australia. I'd return it if I could :-( TOPS need to offer a "mod" upgrade scales package for this, and / or redesign it and re release it. Lilith version 2. Very disappointed:-( 😫👎🇦🇺
