Fantastisk crown molding. 😊

The brass collection is stunning. I remember my mother when we lived in the 14th century home in England had lots of brass, when I was a little girl I did not love the brass, because I had to clean it every Saturday, however, I admit, it’s very warm and very beautiful. Well done guys. Enjoy your videos every week. Merry Christmas.❤🎄❤️👏🎄
@SwedishManorLife21 сағат бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing that memory-it’s amazing how certain things, like brass, bring back those nostalgic moments (even if it involves a bit of elbow grease from younger years!). We’re glad it’s won you over now-brass really does add such warmth, doesn’t it? Merry Christmas to you too, and thank you for being here with us each week! ❤️🎄

Another wonderful video with more inspiration, your wreath on the mantlepiece is superb. I am learning a lot about balance. We went to the Swedish Church today, l didn’t know about St. Lucia, but was told she makes a presence on December 13 th. We had delightful salmon open sandwiches and cinnamon buns. 😋 I purchased a delightful white wooden church with a black steeple, that lights up! Love it. I’ve been drying orange slices and tomorrow l will shop for some ribbon. 🤗🌲🌳

We’re so happy to hear that you’re finding inspiration from the videos, and the wreath on the mantlepiece is one of our favorite touches too! It sounds like you had such a cozy day at the Swedish Church! St. Lucia is such a special tradition here, and December 13th is always a beautiful celebration. Keep those creative ideas coming, and thank you for sharing with us!

I've always been drawn to the warm glow of candles, especially when setting the mood for formal dinners or during Christmas. The only problem is that melted wax seems to find its way onto the tablecloth, no matter how careful I am. I’ve noticed you use so many beautiful candle holders around your home-do you have any tricks for keeping the wax contained and avoiding the mess? PS. I've tried using aluminium foil around the base of the candle to catch the wax, but it looks bulky, doesn't work very well and looks horrible!😂
@SwedishManorLife3 күн бұрын
We actually never have any issues with wax drip! Might be a factor of wax quality, or some other manufacturing difference between Swedish candles and others?

The orange slices on the candle holder are such a good idea! If placed on the window ledge, some of the slices would be backlit by natural light during the day and would give a bit of a stained glass effect. Looking forward to next week. The Gusum are gorgeous … perhaps a Swedish Manor Life brand sometime down the road? One can hope. ❤

Thank you so much for the lovely suggestion! 😊 We thought about that too, when placing it around in the house. Those wall mounted candleholders! 👌 I wonder if you have any older styles from Skultuna? I like some of their modern styles, and I discovered them as one of my British ancestors worked there for a time in the 1800's. (Pretty much all of my family worked in metal working trades, and a fair few were master brass founders and moulders).

@markkokos5 күн бұрын

We do not have any issues with drips, actually. They burn through without any dripping. The only way drips happen is if there's a gust of wind, but that usually doesn't happen indoors :-)
