Hi again I found some of your replies to the same question I asked about the oat fibre replacing the bamboo flour, about adding extra almond flour..thank you! However I noticed that there are less grams in the flours quantity but the same amount of water. It seems like a wetter dough? I’m waiting for the end result and will let you know how it turned out 🙏🏻

I loved your ‘wholewheat’ bread which I’ve made a few times but would like to try your white loaf. Could I use oat fibre instead of bamboo flour?

This bread looks great thanks for sharing your recipe. I've actually bought some bamboo fiber a while ago and was looking for a recipe to use it. Is there any chance I can bake this in a Dutch oven? I prefer the harder crust. Thank you again 😊🙏

You can, or with oat fibre, though this will make the bread more brown in colour.

Would these noodles work for Asian meals like lo mien or stir fried noodles?
@TheLowCarbCook2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Thurge :) I haven't tried it personally, but once you add a source, it flavours up really well. I bet it would be great with a Thai green or red curry :) Let me know how you get on!
@Thurge2 жыл бұрын
Well, if you are inspired to do a follow up video going down the asian flavored/flavoured rabbit hole I'll happily consume the stir fried mushrooms labeled "eat me..." Lol I believe Italians learned how to make noodles from Asians so this noodle variant should work in the opposite direction...

Is whey protein powder the same as what the body builders are eating? Can it be replaced with other ingredient?
@TheLowCarbCook2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Ben :) Yup, just a completely plain version of it. Its what gives my pasta a similar texture to traditional pasta and acts as a really great bonding agent. I really don't know what else you could replace it with as it has quite a specific effect on the final product.

Does the bread maker have a gluten free or low carb setting? Is this necessary? Can you recommend a bread maker I can get in the uk which is suitable?
@TheLowCarbCook2 жыл бұрын
My breadmakers are from Lakeland (a Costco brand) and i picked all three of mine up for between £40 ~ £50 second hand. I'm pretty sure it does have settings for Gluten Freee, but personally don't bake gluten-free so don't have any experience with it.

I am so excited by this. I have missed bread for about 8 years and tried loads of gluten free bread recipes so I can at bread that tastes something like bread but it is all horrible and home made is usually heavy as a brick. Now, I dont know if my digestive issues are about gluten or the damn crap flour that may have wood pulp...cellulose in it. I am willin g to try out a little vital wheat gluten in my keto bread making no w though.

What can a person who can't eat wheat substitute for Vital Wheat Gluten?
@nanibly2 жыл бұрын
What a great channel. Your approach to enjoying a low carb lifestyle while still playing in the kitchen is keeping me motivated. Some other low carb recipes have too many funky ingredients; a list I would shy away from if I saw on a label. I can’t wait to try this (after I buy back my bread machine from the thrift store). Will start with the stand mixer version for now. Is a good pizza crust recipe with VWG in the works?
@nanibly2 жыл бұрын
I made this citron tart and it was such a treat! Thx, also because I finally used my sous vide for the first time. I plan to make shortbread cookies with the pastry. Boy, do I miss cookies. Oh, next time I will top the tart with blueberry whipped cream, by adding sugarfree blueberry coffee flavoring to the cream before pouring into the whipping siphon. That should look interesting.

Can the Vital Wheat Gluten be substituted with something else? I can't seem to find it here.
@TheLowCarbCook2 жыл бұрын
I wish I could say yes, but it's certainly one of the most important ingredients to make this bread so close to normal bread. I'd certainly welcome suggestions from other readers though.

So glad I found your channel. I missed making and eating pasta (and sourdough bread). The things I like most about pasta, the texture and chew, is all here with your recipe. I found this recipe to be easier and less messy than making traditional wheat flour pasta. The only change I made was to use my food processor instead of a stand mixer. I knew my old KitchenAid wasn’t up to the task, and my Cuisinart made fast work on the dough. Pasta roller setting 4 was too thin for lasagna, so next time I will stop at 3. I used to make my own cheese crackers (pasta setting 4) with bread dough, so now I am excited to experiment with yeast and your recipe. Finally, recipes using vital wheat gluten! I don’t understand why most keto recipes shun vital wheat gluten. I’m looking forward to learning more from you. What a great show you have made. The production, editing, pace and style is all top notch! Thank you.

What a pity...all the "machine" low-carb breads have GLUTEN in them. It's so bad for one's digestive tract. Your bread looks great, it's from the Vital gluten.
@TheLowCarbCook2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Dixie :) I do appreciate that many people suffer with Gluten. I personally am Wheat intolerant, but have no issues with Gluten. I myself come at keto purely for weight management as opposed to a super-healthy eating lifestyle. My episodes are there to share whjat has worked for me in the hope of helping others, though I do take on board what you say :)
@mariewhitman87582 жыл бұрын
@@TheLowCarbCook have you tried the keto bread from Aldi supermarket? If so, how does your bread compare to it? Also, I understand that some people have celiac disease and are wheat/gluten intolerant, but many of us are not, so I am happy to see recipes containing vital gluten, which greatly improves the texture of these low carb breads.
