Würde mich interressieren ob der Hammer auch -wissentlich- als Umbau von Sattel und Bärgewicht verkauft wurde weil normal ist da eine Trapezführung am Bärgewicht. Hier hat einer einenUmbau auf einen schwereren Bär gemacht Ziemlich gut und effektiv wie ich finde aber eben nicht mehr original

Da wurde auch im Vorfeld ordentlich an der Gesenkaufnahme unten herumgepfuscht.Ausserdem ist das Gesenk Marke Eigenbau und etwas zu tief ,deshalb auch der anscheinend zu kurze Hub

da gehts besser am Abend hin , leider der ganze Berg zu touristisch und zu überlaufen , der Ort hat die ganze Magie durch die vielen Touristen verloren was sehr schade ist . Dein Video ist doch sehr toll und du hast doch einige coole Orte gefunden ;-) Wildgewachsene Wissen sind im ganzen Jura ;-) die werden einfach durch Schafe , Kühe und Pferde gepflegt ;-) und in einem Naturschutz Gebiet wie da am See darf und soll man nicht übernachten ;-) ja du musst doch noch viel lernen ;-)

Balistol zieht sehr tief ins Holz und bietet super Schutzeigenschaften. Diese Behandlung ist zudem schneller, als die Behandlung mit einem Wachs. Teilweise nehme ich aber auch gerne OSMO Öl-Wachs-Mischungen. Welche andere Methode hattest du im Sinn? :)

@@opeleus7271 Hallo. Eine Reparatur ist und bleibt eine Reparatur. Angenommen du kannst mit einem 8 mm Bohrer das Loch exakt ausbohren. Mit diesem Durchmesser stellst Du Dir ein Stück passendes Holz her welches Du durch herausbohren oder drechsel erarbeiten kannst. Es versteht sich von selbst dass die Maserung einigermassen überein stimmt, dann gehts. Übringens welche Stahlsorten hast Du verwendet? Gruss

@@opeleus7271 Definitely far better without the music - it adds nothing.... The Anvil is music enough ! Except the dramatic drumming when you have finished work and display the piece at the end - that is inspired choice. Great work though, going to have a try at one myself

I love this alternate design. I would maybe have isolated the stinger end of the tail so that it could retain the scorpion's signature stinger end, but really loved watching the process and look forward to seeing more.

Kann es sein, dass die Schabotte tiefer liegt als sie sollte? Bei 4:27 sieht man ja eine Stelle die nicht angemalt wurde, das könnte darauf schließen lassen, dass ein Vorbesitzer ihn nicht richtig aufgestellt hat. Wenn der Bär nicht so weit runter kommt, um das Werkstück auf dem unteren Gesenk zu schlagen, müsste es funktionieren die Schabotte etwas nach oben zu heben.

Scharfes Auge fürs Detail. Es war tatsächlich so, dass der Vorbesitzer den Amboss quasi frei in der Luft schwebend befestigt hatte und mit den beiden Bändern fixiert hatte. Nachdem ich den Hammer allerdings auf das stabile Holzfundament gestellt hatte, ist der Amboss nach ein paar Schlägen direkt nach unten gerutscht. Ich habe das Problem mit der Lücke mittlerweile aber gelöst. Ich bin soweit sehr zufrieden mit dem Umbau. Die nächsten Teile kommen in den nächsten Wochen.

I've been trying this myself, i've only done one so far though because i snapped the next two and my crappy little train track cutoff anvil keeps coming loose from the log i have it bolted into. and i know what you mean about the penny scroll, that was without a doubt the hardest part for me.

Like that intro. Congrats on starting leaves that first one is ruff looked like a stingray. But your learning and that's what it's all about. Because forging the corners down when going from square to round you've got some twisting going on and if not careful you may get some cold shuts. Keep going your doing it

I know you have already made at least 50 of these but you absolutely must find a safe way to de-galvanize your stock. The yellow powder forming on your bolts is a dead give away of the presence of a zinc coating. You can burn the zinc off in a yard fire but electrolizing or dissolving it are better because they don't produce a fume thus no Metal Fume Fever. Check iForgeIron for an account of metal fume fever death. Forge on.

thats a really good point. Safety first. As I mentioned that the galvanised pieces have been stinking I checked on google and from then on I etched them in acid before forging them. The degalvanisation went smooth and the forging went much better.
