I have 4 cubes to slice my models, so it makes 3 cubes and the part. I select all the cubes with shift and the part at the end, press ctrl + shift + B and select difference but only 2 cubes dissapear and one of them remains with the part. What am i doing wrong?

@@Choom42 to begin scanning, I suggest starting with no markers at all. They can enhance the quality of the scan, but for me the quality was already great from the beginning, without the markers. If the quality is not enough, then use them, and use quite a lot! The dimension is 3mm diameter for small ones and 6mm diameter for big ones. Have fun with your device!

this was so helpful! 1. didnt know what to even call this issue, kept google gaps in print and was getting totally different troubleshooting 2. this made me test my retraction settings and i lowered it just a bit from .6 to .4 (i have a bowden setup, no DD). Initially it was .02 and then all the way to .6 (based on what's recommended for bowden) 3. to keep stringing down i didnt reduce the retraction too much, but instead increased unretract speed 30 -> 45 & unretract extra length 1 -> 1.5 I still have a little bit of tunning to do if i want my OCD to leave this problem alone lol, but the prints are 99% perfect now. A _quite important_ point; The actual claimed size range is not at all what you claim in the video. Interestingly, you got it wrong in several ways. The minimum size is 10*10*10mm, which comes out to 1,000mm^3 or 1cm^3. The maximum size is 2,000*2,000*2,000mm, which is 8,000,000,000mm^3 - or 8m^3... Just saying.

@architech_the_engineer
@architech_the_engineer Ай бұрын
@@skopilianos awesome, thanks for sharing your needs! Little tip I’ve noticed: if you’re losing tracking on small objects, maintain a greater distance from object. Keep the dot on the blue color instead of green, I find it easier to stay on track that way. I also noticed that overexposure hurts my results - if the top left corner camera flashes red during the scan, manually decrease the exposure. It worked for me ;) I’ll consider making a tutorial video about using the scanner, I’ll probably need to practice a bit too!

I have used this scanner, and I must say I am blown away every time I use it. Constructive criticism, You should of put the markers on the pad supplied. Marker mode is drastically more accurate. Also, never put markers on a curved surface like you demonstrated with the cone shape. I don't know but, I sometimes get the feeling that some youtubers deliberately create content that'll make people point out the mistakes the creator is making. Or is this Ai ????
@architech_the_engineer
@architech_the_engineer Ай бұрын
Honestly I didn’t use the markers when I was already satisfied with the outcome quality. I used it on the smaller models that were confusing for the scanner due to the plain geometry. Now, if you’re not supposed to put markers on the curved surface, what else can we do when Otter loses tracking? I tried to scan round objects like bottles and mugs, and without markers they were just infinitely spinning around. Markers helped a lot in such cases. I’m not deflecting your opinion, but it doesn’t quite match with my experience. Hope to hear more about your perspective! And nope, none of the script is AI, it’s weeks of my work in writing, recording and editing ;)
