I created some characters in Daz. I tried uploading 6 images from different angles but instead of creating one model it attempted to create separate models for each image then it used up all my coins and now it is forcing me to sign up. How do I create one model from multiple images with a free account?
@nemesis851_11 ай бұрын
If CSM would allow you to submit multiple images , that alone would improve the AI understanding the puzzle 🧩 pieces and how to assemble

Might also be a huge legal liability.

To elaborate - If I take 20-30 photos (similar to photogrametry) of my iRL truck, and submit them to the AI, it can assemble those 20 photos together to make the model
@MatthewWells_official9 ай бұрын
Bingo. That really is the thing i think we're all waiting for. Because the thing I really want is the ability to make detailed interiors from AI and I just imagine a tool in the near future where I can take a dozen pictures of the same room from different angles and import them and it figures out the space in a more detailed accurate way. This feels very much like "check back in 6 months" kind of technology.

I was looking for something like this in around may. I wanted a 3D print a bust of my newborn daughter. I was surprised there is nothing available, since head shapes and faces are pretty similar, at least compared to the search space of general text to image. So from a mathematical point of view it should be an easier task, but I guess there is just not as much training data available. I ended up paying a sculptor on fiver and I think the results were better than anything I could have achieved myself or any of the tools I found, including this one, impressive as it is. It just lacks details so without a texture the models are really simple

This is too low res to be useful. It looks good when it's textured because once you will look at the 3d model, you will be disappointed. @architech_the_engineer11 ай бұрын
Basing on an experience with chair image (1:07) it focuses on one object and cuts it out of the background. You can actually find the cut-out image, to do this go to export in upper corner (like when downloading a model) and find INPUT IMAGE. It will show what part of the photo was used to create a model :)

I remember I saw some time ago some tools to generate reliefs from the map. There is no need to use image-to-3D tools for this task I believe:)
@DeusExNihilo10 ай бұрын
@@linaskesiunas yes, it is possible to generate a relief directly from a bitmap, but it relies on the pixels' color value (lightness/darkness) so for a regular image where brightness doesn't necessarily correspond to depth, it will be distorted. Under certain lighting conditions it's not too bad, and with an actual depth map (generated from a 3d model) it will work. The AI is fundamentally different in that it's actually trying to imagine the shape of the objects depicted in an image.
@watercat124811 ай бұрын

Models like GPT-5 and Gemini 2 will be able to generate 3d models within the next 4-6 months, and they will cost similar to current ChatGPT Plus price which is $20-25/month depending on the country for a lot of uses. And they will most likely be able to create correct topology, weights, and skeletons for animations, making them completely game-ready for any major engine or 3d software. It will not even take a year for them to be better than the best 3d artists at almost everything, and they will not be restricted with the exception of NSFW and maybe similar 3d models (open source AI models will also do those 4-8 months later).

Very interesting, thank you for the video. Too bad that the AI tool is still a bit underdeveloped, because just as we can guess from a front view of a car what the rest looks like, especially if we recognize the vehicle model, so should the Ai. The AI should recognize that it is a hydrant and that it has perfect technical shapes and not artifacts floating in the air. But in a few months or a few years, it will be able to do that too. Just like when I see a picture of a hydrant, I can model a perfect model of a hydrant.

I recently watched a documentary on Netflix about World War 3. A lot of the old footage had been cleaned up and colorized by AI, but it still looked very old. I think in a few years, when AI has a three-dimensional understanding of the world, it will be able to re-render old footage in the highest quality. If a Ford T appears in the old footage, then it can recreate it perfectly using the data on the internet. And if she doesn't recognize a vehicle exactly, she can come up with a technically and visually perfect model. @@architech_the_engineer

However it’s possible that these AI generated 3D models may not be protected by copyright including if you heavily edit them yourself so you can use them as references but you need to fully model assets yourself or from human made assets you have permission to use.
