I had a lot of fun with the roles. They really shine when you have multiple so you can kinda multitask as you roam around. Its been said a million timea but so much missed potential.

I stop playing because the community was racist. I was constantly hunted for being a black character in game. The moment I change skin tones. Being hunted significantly died to normal levels. But God they punish you as a player for being mess with by others.

Heist all we wanted were heist. They had the winning formula with GTA online. Just copy the blueprint.

It was one of those games that brought all the boys together. Making videos on Red Dead online with my friends was the best decision I made because at least I can look back at all the fun we had in a cowboy sandbox. I spent full play sessions with randoms who didn't even speak the same language. Good times, I'll always secretly hope for Rockstar to show some love to Red Dead and it's community 😢

the single player suffered because of the multiplayer my friends keeps saying its not worth 60-70$ for a not good multiplayer and long single player

I remember watching a lot of Hannah Reloaded's coverage of this when it first started happening, and from what I remember of the white paper and the team's other communications about this project, I feel pretty doubtful that they had the concrete engineering plans OR necessarily the funds to make all this. I do think they wanted to, but I don't think they had any idea how, and they didn't seem too receptive to others' input or feedback. If they'd actually built a version of it, it probably would have turned out like Fyre Fest, IMHO.

The fact that the best method to get money involved you just riding around the map collecting 100 different things over the course of a couple hours shows you the overall quality or state of RDO

Getting griefed in this game as a woman was an experience. One session I was repeatedly kidnapped, tied up and chucked over the back of a horse and taken halfway across the map. The creepy undertones were definitely present.

To me their biggest mistake was adding in roles like moonshine or naturalist when they needed to add some sort of fishing, ranching, or mining roles. Especially with legendary fish, even if the possibility of being killed and griefed is there it’d still be fun. Or just add PVE mode. Fishing was always a big part for people in red dead, and I know i wasn’t the only one that didn’t have it in me to grind bounties or hunting all the time. Fishing was that great escape from the other chores. They dropped the ball so hard on so much that they could’ve done it’s almost criminal. Housing, investing, fishing roles, maybe Native American/American faction war, building your own camp/house through materials bought from lumber mill. So much missed…

I've been playing red dead since day one of beta for the online I am a PlayStation player btw. This video is 10/10 on how dead rdo is to rock star, I knew they quit careing as soon as our weekly benefits updates turned into monthly benefits updates. A few things I'm surprised you didn't mention during this video was the blue screen/game crashing epidemic. What I'm talking about is for I think 3 days nobody was able to play rdo, everytime you jumped in a lobby your game would crash and even if you did manage to stay in the server for more than 2 minutes within the next 3 minutes your game would crash. I'm also surprised you didn't mention the most recent horse and stable glitch. It quite literally made the game unplayable, their core game mechanic to GET AROUND was broken. If you tried to go into the stable before fleeing your horse and waiting a certain amount of time you'd get stuck and have to close your application unless you were in a friends posse and they could pull you into a different server. If somebody or yourself killed your horse you'd have a fun time walking around till you find an npc horse to steal because you wouldn't get your horse back for 20 minutes at times probably longer depending on who you ask. It took them MONTHS to fix such a game breaking bug it was outrages. Now the new bug is that your horses name and posse name no longer appear to other players and yourself. You can still see you horses name but nobody else can see it anymore, it just says the breed. Your posse name isn't even visible to yourself anymore! If you're in a friends posse it just says POSSE, God knows how long this will take to fix but there goes having a funny horse or posse name to show off to friends or other players. On the defensive mode topic though, I really wish they would just remove it or make it to where you are unable to shoot people period. People have found a way to exploit it so they stay in defensive mode while fighting you, the reason why this is a problem is because while you're in defensive mode you are completely immune to headshots and take I believe 10 or 20 percent more damage than someone in offensive mode. On the lack luster update topic one thing I've always wondered is what happend to the horse fence twin brothers?! At the end of the tutorial the brothers say that they'll see you again hinting at a horse fence role of some kind but there's nothing in the game to this day. To add on to the dedicated servers topic they need to add that like yesterday. The amount of lag switchers is insane and the amount of booters is astronomical! I've been booted off my internet God knows how many times, the longest was 3hours. I know people though that had booters harrasing their router so much they had to completely change their IP because they kept booting him on and off for an entire week. There's so many other things I could talk about but to end my comment I'll just say this. Rock star has proven to have absolutely no clue what the hell is going on or what is even in the online right now. I saw a video recently where a guy emailed rock star support that he lost his M1899 Pistol after he bought it. Now this pistol is ONLY in the story it's not the in the online. Well this guy cut together a video of his online character and the story mode of him buying the gun and not receiving it to send to them for "proof". Well they bought it and he was given the pistol by rock star in the online! They don't even know what guns they have in their game!

For me Rockstar lost the pace with GTA online already. This game mode has become practically unplayable on pc due to the amount of cheaters you meet in your lobby. Apparently this hasn't always been the case. At the start of Gta online on PC modding was not that easy. But as take two only cares about money, they haven't put an end to the cheater infestation in Gta online.

I also remember wishing they'd just show us some ultra-dry instructional video because we were 12-13 and capable of understanding the gravity of such a situation as finding an unattended firearm. you should have mentioned patch 1.21 which made the game UNPLAYABLE trains went invisible or would move very slowly you were invincible, or NPCs would be invincible no animal spawns horses would disappear from beneath you guns would refuse to fire and The Bald Man.

The online did not make them anywhere near the money gta online does. Why put time/money into it when that time/money can be put into gta5 and gta 6?
