I have the same gun and 350 legend and I have a lot of issues with it feeding. I can’t make it through a magazine without it having some sort of malfunction. I think this is because of the spring and the magazine and also the catch that holds the magazine has too much play allowing the bolt to push the magazine down just enough to where it can’t get a good grip on the cartridge

This rigle model in particular seems to have a quality control problem with the sights they come loose after some shooting but reviews have said taking to a gunsmith or sending it to savage to be tightened down solved the issue not a good show for savage but if you have it and want to use the iron sights get the iron sights tightened down

Did you try to sight in the rifles iron sights before hunting? Apparently this model had issues with accuracy while used with iron sights only. Just curious of your opinion since you are using this rifle. Cheers
@growingforbroke1072
@growingforbroke1072 Жыл бұрын
My son and I shot it with just the open sights. We did quite well ringing steel plates at about 70 yards. The initial allure of this rifle was the fact it came with iron sights. It’s hard to find a bolt action nowadays that comes with them from the factory and at this price point. Always good to have them in case something goes wrong with your optics in the field.

I work as a machinist in a fast paced manufacturing environment so I tend to move a lot. I got a pair about a month ago and I gotta say I'm quite impressed so far. I too have a left foot that's slightly different and the BOA system works nicely to remedy that along with reducing the pressure on the tendons. If anything they've gotten more comfortable and thats just with the regular insoles in them. I imagine I'll spring for better insoles eventually since my feet get quite painful after months of wear. My only real concern is the durability going forward due to most light weight shoes falling apart within about 6 months in my experience. I appreciate the info as it alleviates some of those concerns.

Hey bud. I just bought the wood stock version for it. I have had trouble with cycling the rounds. I have been using 7/8 oz. After messaging Stoeger they told me to use over 1 1/8 oz. Can you tell me what rounds you have used ? Is the velocity you over 1200fps? Or no issues with yours?

I run what is cheap lol We shoot a lot so Estates, Winchester White and Reds, even light target loads from the trap range. Honestly have had like a maximum of 10 round hang ups. Wonder if mine having a synthetic stock plays a part ? Let’s more of the recoil through for ejection. This is seriously the most reliable semi auto I own. Clean it like once every 500 rounds even.

@@forreststump11 the .308 is superior in just about every way. The .350 legend is only preferred for states that require straight wall cartridges for deer, which bans the use of .308 or really the majority of cartridges, I believe including 30-30 of all things. You'd use it in certain states because "I don't want to go to jail" not because it's better.

Its the magazine that came with. Not an AR one. I had a Ruger American before this and just loathed the mag on that rifle. It stuck out, wouldn’t feed right etc was an accurate gun though. I guess both of mine were lemons. Got two of them brand new picked it because 1) Free floating barrel, 2) synthetic stock, 3) iron sights 4) internal magazine. 4) suppressor ready. 1) out of the box both failed to fire 4 different ammo, light primer strikes. 2) a shotgun has better accuracy. 3) worse feature the internal magazine can allow s shell to go left of magazine and lodge between the stock and mag well.
