Redwing Ecolite

Loving these new work boots from Redwing. Super comfortable work shoe.

I work in a fast paced vehicle manufacturing plant. On my feet all day long and have put these shoes through HELL. I've had these for about 5 months now and they are amazing! The BOA system is a Godsend... I'll never go back to anything else. My concern was the glue and the materials used. Recycled plastic, rubber, plant based, etc. Same as you I saw there were no reviews at all out there. I constantly use foot pedals in the assembly line. They are protected by a very rough edged steel arch. I have to slam my feet into this steel arch yo press down the pedal literally hundreds of tines a day and I must say they are doing extremely well with this bare metal rubbing abuse daily. Lite as a feather and very comfortable. I cannot recommend these shoes enough!

They really are amazing. I have fell in love with mine too. I drive a forklift the majority of my day so flexibility in the toe and a good foot bed for the days I get on an off the the lift 200+ times in day. They are rocking it for me. I wasnt sure about the BOA system but now I don’t know how I lived without it lol. They really are fantastic work boot/ shoe. Light, comfortable, great foot bed and that vibram sole on them with the rebound tech makes a huge difference you feel at the end of a day.

I work as a machinist in a fast paced manufacturing environment so I tend to move a lot. I got a pair about a month ago and I gotta say I'm quite impressed so far. I too have a left foot that's slightly different and the BOA system works nicely to remedy that along with reducing the pressure on the tendons. If anything they've gotten more comfortable and thats just with the regular insoles in them. I imagine I'll spring for better insoles eventually since my feet get quite painful after months of wear. My only real concern is the durability going forward due to most light weight shoes falling apart within about 6 months in my experience. I appreciate the info as it alleviates some of those concerns.

@@MrJgayles I get a $250 boot allowance each year through work. So I feel your pain lol That being said, these are hands down the most comfortable and lightest safety toes I have ever worn. I wasn’t sure how I felt about the BOA system at first. Now, I don’t know how I lived without it. They are holding up great too which was my main concern. If they are within your budget grab a pair. You won’t be disappointed.
