I’ve made the trip from Yelleville Arkansas to Rockport many times. A great place to spend a few days is Waco. Park for free at the Flying J, really nice, and enjoy so many things at the 400 acre Cameron Park. Two rivers with suspension bridges that are closed to traffic but great for walking. Lake Waco is a very safe place to swim, especially with children. I lived at the flying J in my car for six weeks after Rockport was devastated in the 2017 hurricane. Really nice people there.

You were in my area. I lived in Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, and now I live in Rockport. If you are ever in south Texas again, there is free camping in Magnolia Beach 20 minutes from Port Lavaca. You park right by the water.

My wife and I love you guys so much... We enjoy your vids... We have one question for you guys... when you are doing a fit up on the Big Rig or the Van... How do you stay so calm... LOL... back when you were almost out of gas and the station wazzz closed... You were so calm.. LOL!~!!! Love it....

We stay calm because we know that whatever happens we always have everything we need right there with us. Food, water, things to do, a bed even - we’re set! We get the most concerned when mechanical issues start to look like the vehicle will have to sit in a shop where we won’t be able to stay in it. But usually we’re able to avoid that. We don’t usually book our stays in advance, we’re really just along for the ride and we know that sometimes the ride is gonna involve problems. Thanks for watching! - Paige

I was born in California and lived there for a little over 10 years. It is a beautiful state and really has it all - forest, desert, ocean, cities, mountains… It’s also a very crowded state! I thought visiting again would make me want to move back, but honestly I prefer our home in Arkansas. Still love visiting and was in complete awe of the beauty of CA while we were there. - Paige

I love your camp oven idea of using a wielding blanket. Just a tip I use is two small fire bricks in the bottom. Keeps the heat more even. Love the series

Hi there! I camped in spot 7 about 5 weeks ago! I was headed the opposite direction though. Beautiful place to spend up to 3 days. The Norman crickets were something I had never encountered before. Before Water Canyon, I was at Sheldon National Wildlife . Another great campground with a warm spring! I will be subscribing! Jon

Looking great You All!! I lived in Winnamucca for a bit back in the mid 80s as a kid. Was living the RV life back then too. The only thing I would have to add personally is one of them portable propane powered water heaters. I cant function without my morning shower and coffee!

Hey guys! I love the "bedtime siren!" Henry gets all the creativity points on that one. Maybe try running a little bar soap along the slats to allow them to slip more easily and quiet down that "siren." Those Mormon crickets were amazing! I've never seen them in anything other than photos, so seeing them in your video was eye-opening. I think a lot of people would be turned off by them, but seeing something that can't be found anywhere else is pretty cool, in my book.

It’s an Overland Vehicle Systems LTE awning. You can get them directly from their website, but we scored this one used on Facebook Marketplace for about 1/2 of the retail price!
