I first heard about low carb at Mark’s Daily Apple in 2008 I think it was. He calls it The Primal Blueprint. 🇨🇦

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, have been lo ox 6 months and I feel increasing symptoms of stiffness and pain. Might be releasing ox, but maybe I am taking something. Recently added in lemon juice, potassium and calcium. All low doses. Had been taking magnesium but stopped. Have Sally's book, but so many people get better quickly and I am just suffering so every day.

wow, i cant believe there are not any comments in here, L. Amber has learned a lot, she is my go to person right now. people are so out of touch with there health they dont know a good thing when they here it. i will tell you Ms Freeman what one of mentor's likes to remind us that was written by Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain), it is not what you dont know that will get you in trouble, it is what you know for sure that just isnt so. i will tell you and L. Amber this as my grandma said, when you have your health you have everything. keep chasing your healthy dreams, there are answers to the discoveries in science the allopathic medical (bad medical), i will not go into them here. Thanks for the channel, and remember that the price of freedom is eternal vigilence. Thanks again The Carole Freeman. i like this little dog guy.

People can suffer adrenal fatigue from trauma such as divorcing a sociopath. This is due to having very high cortisol levels over an extended period of time. Once the cortisol comes down one feels soooo tired for quite a few months. But those who think they have adrenal fatigue due to keto have usually become deficient in sodium and potassium. One must take magnesium glycinate, Potassium citrate and adequate sodium every day.

My blood pressure was always perfect until I hit menopause. I did some research and found that estrogen is needed to help keep cells insulin sensitive. So as women go into menopause, they can become more insulin resistant. Menopause sucks. LOL

Oh, I've noticed this in my clients, too! It often is one of two things: 1) If your body is {finally) getting enough protein, your appetite can increase so that you actually want to eat more protein or 2) it can happen for those insulin resistant that are on a blood sugar roller coaster.

@@thecarolefreeman-brandacco2343 And as seldom as I indulge large amounts of carbs, I think my issue is needing more protein. When first beginning Keto, someone said that protein can spike our blood sugars, but with everything I have been hearing, I realize I need more. I really struggle to get enough. Thanks for confirming this about protein.🙂

@@thecarolefreeman-brandacco2343 I will look, but did you post anything about changing from Pescitarian to including beef? I just tasted my beef jerky and it's great. I see that sardines, which have always disgusted me, can be purchased as canned fillets. Does that exclude the heads, hopfully? I am really trying to go outside my comfort zone and recently added bacon to my diet. Problem is, if the pigs are not raised properly the fats will contain toxins. I ate it anyway, the best I could get. Soon, we hope to have a chest freezer and order from good farms.

@@WomanOver70AgingNaturally I don't have any episodes about transitioning from pescitarian to more omnivore, but I can tell you that when I was in college, getting my undergrad and graduate degrees in nutrition, most of my fellow students that entered school as a vegetarian did transition to an omnivore diet as they learned about the biochemistry and physiology of human nutrition. The more they learned, the more they knew that for optimal human nutrition, we were designed to get most of our protein, vitamins, and minerals from animal-based foods.

For my women clients, extended fasting isn't always the best option. As women, we tend to associate healthy eating (or weight loss) with trying to NOT eat and eating less, but often my ladies need to eat much more than they think, especially protein. Getting adequate protein each day makes it a bit easier to decipher true hunger vs. emotional hunger.

Aw! Maybe peanut butter is sabatoging me. Oh, please don't take that away from me. One problem I am having is that I don't have access to quality meats until we can get a chest freezer and family goes in on an order together. What do you know about Angus meat? Is that any better than nothing at all, if you can't get grass-finished beef? BOY, is it hard to stick to just 2 level T. of PB!!! One thing is that it's too hot to walk outside and I have not been getting to the gym track. I walk a long way to the trash bin and mailbox, that's if I wake up and it's not already 82 degree F.
@thecarolefreeman-brandacco2343

Peanut butter is naturally hard to NOT overeat - for nearly everyone! I encourage my clients to not think about never ever having something again, just setting a timeframe to take a vacation from it to see how different they feel. Our brain likes short-term commitments much more than doing something FOREVER. A lot of people get hung up on the quality of the food, but in my 8 years of experience helping clients follow low carb and keto, just getting the macros right (carbs, fat, and protein) takes care of 95% of their health and quality of life issues. I tell them to focus on that firsts, then later on if you want to focus on the quality of the food and you have the resources to do so, go for it. But for most people, it is not necessary at all to get to their health and well being goals. For example, when I started a keto diet, I was getting most of my food from a food bank. I experienced a tremendous health transformation (and weight loss) eating the cheapest food available.

A few weeks ago I thought I would eat just ONE cookie. I had not eaten sugar for months! I was baby-sitting at a family members home and felt a little stressed and hungry at the same time. No! Not just one cookie went into my mouth, but possibly TEN...lesson learned and derailed my keto big time

Jimmy always came off as a con man to me. I knew he was lying 🤥 about being on the diet (as big as he was). It was obvious he wasn’t living the lifestyle. However, I did not see him as a predator. I’m not that surprised when I already had such a bad vibe from him. There was always something off that I couldn’t put my finger on.

Wow! Fascinating what Sally said about the potential terrible impact of a pregnant woman eating chocolate when she has a male fetus. When I was pregnant with my son, my only child, I had a major aversion to chocolate which surprised the hell out of me. I couldn't even watch somebody else eat chocolate while I was pregnant. I'd had a little mini stash of chocolate prior to pregnancy which I gave to my husband when I got pregnant and begged him to not eat it in front of me. Really fascinating how our bodies give us important information. Fascinating talk with Sally! She's the best!❤️

This man has a million excuses for all his behaviors. He is morbidly obese. He has many excuses for that. He left his wife. He has a boat load of excuses for that. Now he is accused of doing serious harm to a child. And of course he has excuses for that criminal behavior. Truth is, there was no logical reason why he even had followers. How can someone like him teach anyone about health?

Fantastic video. RD deserves a lot of credit for helping to get Dr. Bernstein's message out there. He's right on every point. I got the same advice when I was diagnosed with T1D 25 years ago and unfortunately didn't find Dr. B and low carb till relatively recently. I wish I knew about this when I was first diagnosed - this should be the standard of care across the world instead we get crap.
