Thanks for the info. I was working on my pilots license, but my current job makes scheduling difficult. Was thinking of just buying a plane for now, and have it make passive income so I can work again on getting my license.

As you know, their are FAA hurdles to overcome, which you did not discuss. Anytime you haul a passenger, you have to satisfy FAA requirements which are costly, insurance costs are beyond stupid, also will not be able to haul people without the proper medical certifications, type ratings, complex, IFR, and the list goes on depending..... Pilot since 1975. You make it sound so easy when in reality, it is not. Better do your homework.

I'm currently a student pilot pursuing my PPL at the ripe age of 39. I'm still working full-time in sales but my goal is to eventually transition to the airlines and to do it debt free (I've been debt-free for the last 6 years and really do not want to go back). The government created this model with the 1500 hour rule. All instructors I find are relatively young pilots desperate for their hours. They teach poorly and do not care about the students because everyone is cutthroat about 1500.
