I don't understand how a lap band could leak. Isn't it just solid plastic? I am trying to find out more about that because my friend said her lap band leaked. Also she was 100% septic and even coded. She was in the hospital the whole month of June. She had her lap band surgery in 2007 and this just happened in June 2017. Now she says she is doing well. Please tell me more if you will. These videos in here are confusing. People talking about VSG and getting stuck in the belly. Thanks

What are system of a leak sometimes i think i have one, or sometimes i think the dr. missed the port, I'm at 8.5 ccs and I don't have restriction like eveyone else mentions, I can eat about 2 cups and more before i feel full.

I'm at 9.25 of a 9 cc realize band. I haven't had the fill dr. take out all of the liquid since I was at 7.5 cc's. I will have to have her take all the liquid out to see if it is leaking. My surgeon was terrible. My liver had a chunk taken out of it because he was so rough with me. I would not doubt that I am leaking. I have NO restriction what-so-ever. I am so confused at what to do!

Do you work for a Biatric doctor?? well I alwasy tought it was about how many CC's you have in your band. thought that in every visit you had to go up. I starded having problems towards my last fill i had. right now im okay but my stomach feels so swollen i dont know if this has to do with the trowing up i had yesturday and the unfill today .. do you have any idea? omg you are such a key to my answers my doctor and their assistant never have my answers. thank you.

CCs should never be a focus. Everyone is difrent and everyones stomachs are diffrent sizes so i have patients with restriction at 3CC's and some are at 11cc's EVERYONES number is diffrent and some peoples changes from fill to fill. I am around 7.4 and think i could take a small fill, to answer your question.

ory it took me so long to get back to you, i am on vacation so i have to wait to get to a hotel to respond. YES , go get an UNFILL. You are too tight from the sounds o it to me and if should never take that long to drink anything. I was in your shoes 3 weeks ago and had to get my first unfill. Good luck and keep me posted.

I have a question I just had a fill done yesturday from a 7.6 I went to a 7.8 i can't keep nothing down nor water should I give it time for swelling to go down I have to eat super slow... Took me 2 hours to drink my fat burner n one hour for my protein shake

I have really been finding that the lapband is a tough road. I think I am slightly overfilled, and may make it easier once I get 1/2 cc out. Who knows for sure?!

I set a goal every week depending on my persional goals and it is ushaly 2000- 1600- or 1400. you folks have to remember an average male burns 2500 a day so i still loose at 2000. I also am not in any hurry to loos it all. i want to give my skin time to catch up. Plus i am ready for another fill. I think next week will be a 1600cal week lol

oh wow! how fun! i'd love to work at a WLS center. hmm. 2000 calories? do you know what your BMR is? mine is only 1500 calories. disappointing. yay for getting a fill that works! and yay for finding a hot dude! i hope it goes well for you. just don't expect anything and go with the flow. i guarantee you'll be happier too. =) i'll be seeing you in PA, right?

Hey Adam.. great job on your loss so far.. I am also a gay male and have had some of the same thoughts as you. I have been on trying to get lap band for almost a year now and it seems like that I am finally getting it next month (no thanks to the Insurance companies). Did you have any problems to go along with your weight? because thats the reason why I was denied with my insurance..yes I am over weight but I am virtually heathy, now we are having to go the "pay ourselves" route".

Just curious, are you also working on the emotional stuff that went along with the weight gain also? I think that has a lot to do with taking off the weight also.
