I Had a Lap Band Leak....... I'm Back

Welcome back! I am sorry to hear about the leak. I am glad to hear that things went well, and hopefully it will be smoother sailing from this point on. Thanks for sharing your story! I have really been finding that the lapband is a tough road. I think I am slightly overfilled, and may make it easier once I get 1/2 cc out. Who knows for sure?!

I'm at 9.25 of a 9 cc realize band. I haven't had the fill dr. take out all of the liquid since I was at 7.5 cc's. I will have to have her take all the liquid out to see if it is leaking. My surgeon was terrible. My liver had a chunk taken out of it because he was so rough with me. I would not doubt that I am leaking. I have NO restriction what-so-ever. I am so confused at what to do!

What are system of a leak sometimes i think i have one, or sometimes i think the dr. missed the port, I'm at 8.5 ccs and I don't have restriction like eveyone else mentions, I can eat about 2 cups and more before i feel full.

I don't understand how a lap band could leak. Isn't it just solid plastic? I am trying to find out more about that because my friend said her lap band leaked. Also she was 100% septic and even coded. She was in the hospital the whole month of June. She had her lap band surgery in 2007 and this just happened in June 2017. Now she says she is doing well. Please tell me more if you will. These videos in here are confusing. People talking about VSG and getting stuck in the belly. Thanks
