I had a rough start, born breach in the early 60s with a broken collar bone. One week after I was out of the hospital ( they used to keep babies and moms a week), my mom had a car accident, and I guess I landed on the floor board. I am now in my early 60s and wonder how much that affected who I've become. Don't see much on very early trauma.

It’s interesting how you try to tie complexity of systems to energy density. You state energy density is increasing with time, which seems to defy the natural tendency of all systems to lower energy and higher entropy. Where is this energy coming from? Especially if one can argue that the universe is a closed system, and since energy is neither created nor destroyed ( first law of thermodynamics) I don’t see how you can attribute increasing complexity to an input or flow of energy. You were asked the question where did the energy for complexity come from for future complexity if the simple universe didn’t have that energy, to which you responded, “the expansion of the universe CREATED INCREASING AMOUNTS OF FREE ENERGY”. I don't see how that can happen, perhaps you can expand on that. Even if it’s true, that engine of expansion should provide endless free energy to avoid any future universal death freeze as another gentleman asked you and you said entropy will win out. If you factor in acceleration into expansion then why not have infinite energy and continued complexity, which is what the first question was. You’re contradicting yourself and other astrophysicists who claim the unverse will fizzle out as a conglomeration of dead stars. But alas, you didn’t want to extrapolate, so there goes the scientific method. Where did the particles or electromagnetic radiation energy come from, if matter or energy is neither created or destroyed? How did the first atoms “evolve” to perfectly balanced the orbital spin energy of the electron with the charge attraction between the electron and protons in the nucleus to prevent the electron from flying off or spiraling in to the nucleus and causing a catastrophic event? Just how did inorganic matter give rise to life? You say there is no accepted definition of life by biologists. Wrong, my son’s 7th grade science class gives a great definition of life as a system having certain characteristics including cellular organization, a barrier, the ability to reproduce , the ability to harness energy. Simple. Yet no scientists can get close to explain how inorganic matter became organic life. Complexity is information! Not just energy. That’s like saying intelligence is synaptic density. Information begets information. Let’s say for discussion purpose the sun or some geothermal vent energy was the source of energy input that led to biocomplexity on earth. Well you need complex molecular machinery to harness that otherwise destructive energy. That complex machinery is on the form of encoded proteins. Proteins which are absolutely needed to catalyze complex reactions to overcome the activation energy for those complex reactions. You talk about photosyntheses like Oprah described in a show how life evolved from the sea to land, “it was just a hop, skip, and a jump”. Yeah sure, it’s that simple. Now you’re into the chicken and egg conundrum. For example, the mutation-correction paradox…which came first-the DNA that stores the blueprints for dozens of required DNA repair proteins, or the DNA repair proteins that are required to maintain DNA? Clearly, they must have arisen at the same time. Natural causes cannot overcome the mutation protection paradox, the DNA-DNA repair dilemma, or the complexity seen in DNA repair enzymes. Then the energy density of a society? What is that? How do empirically quantify that? You can say Hitler was justified in using his survival of the fittest argument against non-Aryan’s, you even go as far to called failed societies, “losers”. Humans are much more than that, how do you explain things like the complexity of compassion, the energy density of moral absolutes found across all societies?

I have had elevation of stress for many years.I know its not healthy however i cannot process it and it does not go away.I can. I was not seen or heard as a child and today .There was never a safe place to go with my fears or trauma.so i stayed in flight or frozen and so i found alcohol. I didn't know how to cope with life.My dad was a raging alcoholic so i didn't drink as teenager. I married a heavy drinker and slowly became a alcoholic. Today i understand i was predisposed to seek answers from the behavior modeled before .me.I am sober today but it is hard because my normal is to change the way i feel as quickly as possible. 887i

not everyone who was truly victimized as children, and who now have to deal with all sorts of physical illnesses like autoimmune diseases, and also have extreme depression, are hung up on the identity of being the victim. How deeply insulting, that after watching you for 45 minutes, your big emotional come-to-jesus moment was to enlighten us to your revolutionary revelation that what people like me need to do is shake off our pet identity of the poor little victim and start thinking of myself in new ways. man, im 42, im a successful painter which is actually how I see myself, and I do so much stuff I like, and I think about everything really hard because I love it. AND ALSO the cptsd that I earned in my terrifying shitty childhood home continues to effect me by way of its mastery of its own cruel crafts, namely training my body to attack itself and convincing my heart to trust everyone, totally unprovoked, until I fall in love with someone at which point become convinced that she manipulated me into trusting her because she has a malevolent plan . Its like positive thinking ratchet only more blamey and shamey.
