So you kinda skipped right over what's going on with the exhaust, is this a cat delete? or just the slip on?

I genuinely wonder if we’re going to see a noticeable shift in people opting for simpler bikes going forward. Bikes are becoming so laden with tech now the experience and character of riding just isn’t there anymore in many cases.

£1,400/year for the one bike?! It doesn’t cost me much more than that to insure 2 scrambler 1200’s, a 22 speed twin, 23 T120, 2 Vespa 300gts’, and an 09 Mercedes Benz here in urban central Texas per year. wtf was going on w your insurance?! I’d be breaking the law before I give up my scrambler, no joke.

Beautiful motorcycle, really beautiful. The Bonneville is King of Cool 😎 👌 I ride a 2011 865 black and recently road with my 2 mates KTM Superduke and BMW 1250 up the coast were we stopped and had launch. Outside the restaurant an elderly gentleman was looking only at the Triumph and my mates were laughing 😃 as l bought my Triumph Bonneville of a mate for 2k with 60k miles on the clock but in really good condition. My mate who sold me rode to work 6 days a week 50 miles return trip each day but serviced it every year, so l snapped it up when he bought a new bike. The old guy Outside the restaurant waited for me to come out because he wanted to know where l bought the small fairing or cowl covering my headlamp. Then other people joined in looking at the Bonneville and ignoring the KTM " which looks like a wildebeest and the JETSKI looking BMW 😅😅 Anyway great fun, unfortunately the Bonneville never handled as good as the other bikes and l did have to stop and refuel while my mates chuckled 😅 Good luck with the Bonneville, great video.

I am lucky enough to have an old carburettor version of the 865cc Speedmaster. I love it! Heavily modified with aftermarket parts plentiful. A wonderful analogue experience on a unique bike. Perfect for quiet country lanes, open face helmet and fabulous roads the rural Yorkshire has in abundance. Enjoy every moment on that beautiful Triumph.

Really. I've called them. And the crease in the tank is a non starter. And there's no space. Not like my 73 T140. At all. Any of them.

Nice! I have a 2008 T100, bought on a whim a while ago for the retro vibe and cant keep off it since - my 2 other bikes don't really get a look in now. Couple of things I noticed - 2008 is the first year of FI in the UK, 2009 in USA. I think you said they weren't, but they are the stock bars. Installing the Triumph TORS map and deleting the air injection system will help with fueling (and is the best option for those aftermarket silencers) Subscribed to see the journey on this one.....👍

Heh, 25k miles is barely broken in. I have 65k miles on my 2016 Thruxton and it still get 53 mpg and doesn't burn a drop of oil. These Triumph twins are hella strong engines. Looks great.
@mar03644 күн бұрын
I agree, they are fantastic. I ended up buying one myself. The only real competition, in my opinion, is an older Harley-Davidson Sportster.
@gradbuckie4 күн бұрын
you've got it flipped around. New bikes don't reach the the full HP until after break in. Yours at 20,000K plus is right in the sweet spot for the engine. Truthfully people need to realize that motorcycles aren't made to expire at 10,000K they are made to go for much much longer than that. Its just broken in so enjoy and don't worry about the clock the bike will last as long as you are likely to want to ride. As i said in your last video on the bike head over to Triumph Twin Power and their sister company Ultimate Twin Performance and work on the engine upgrades, you wont regret it.

11:17 - Ha! My T100 had those ugly flame grips too, and mine were also coming off. If you parked it in the sun on a hot day you couldn't push it around without pulling them off the bike 😂😂 I was very confused by the Spring mentions until I read the description, makes sense and it's nice to be reminded of what sunshine looks like at least.

I ride the 2015 America over here in Canada. The air/oil cooled 865cc motor may very well be, in my opinion, the best engine Triumph has ever made. Its a perfect middle weight that will do everything. the platform is super simple, the ecu controls only what it has to. If you want my recommendation work over engine first. dump the secondary air injection, O2 sensors, throw in a high flow air filter ( don't go pods is a waste of money on these bikes), get some free flow silencers on there and throw on a tune from Triumph Twin Power and you will have a bike that will have you smiling like a kid at the candy store from the second you throw a leg over to the moment you park it up. Have fun. this bike will be with you forever.

Well there you go. One of the most comfortable seating positions on a bike IMO. Definitely should be saving some money there. I'd like to hear the comparison of costs compared to the Scrambler. I hear that 900 motor has some really nice character as well. Everybody seems to love it in the reviews I've seen.
@Willieswheels4 күн бұрын
It’s got plenty of poke where it needs, definitely not a bike for long motorways or one you’ll easily lose your license on… perfect for me 😂

Insurance is a big scam. My car and homeowners insurance went up 40% this year for no reason. I've got a 1200 XC but haven't called my insurance yet, because it's Winter now and I probably won't be riding until Spring. Wonder how the 900cc Triumph would fare insurance wise. Don't tell the insurance agent that you're commuting in London though, jeez. It's like the home of thieves from what I understand.
@Willieswheels5 күн бұрын
Haven't (yet) had a problem with thieving, but I know lots of people who have. There's certain ways of being smart about where you park etc but most people say it's not if but when you get something taken in town. I hate it. But it's the only way I can enjoy moving around the city really.

So basically this is the point of your whole video.. Triumph scrambler is a badass bike until you fvck it up and when YOU cant afford to fix it then its time to sell it and make a video about it. Thats like buying a Ferrari and it gets a fender bender. you find out the bumper is ridiculously expensive to fix. Now your gonna make a vid about ferrari is just too expensive. Shouldnt buy it in the first place man! Cmon man,... go buy a drz or something.

Amen. However real life is real life, i'd rather be honest than make up a BS reason for selling and lie to you all about my financial situation. There's too many fake influencers out here perpetuating this feeling of constantly needing to spend money to be happy. That being said since then i've bought and sold 3 bikes, so maybe I'm just as bad ;-)

I am on the fence between a t120 and a Street Triple. I love riding around on twisty roads, but also commute and go camping occasionally.. i’m afraid the t120 leaves a bit to be desired in the twisty, but the street triple can’t handle camping so well. As if the t120 is a swiss army knife.

I've been interested in the Hunter for a while now. But what really discourages me from getting one, is that speed limiter. I don't like the fact that I know when it hits 120k/h that's as fast as I'll be able to go. So I'm looking for something that can hit around 150k/h. with the same style to it. Any suggestions?

I’ve been riding for over 30 years, the interceptor is a fantastic bike, and considering the price difference is every bit as good as a triumph, I’d recommend bar risers for taller riders, and touring seat, also fitting a 16t front sprocket, they can cruise at 70mph at 4000rpm with plenty of power left, so ride on motorways all day long,

I traded in my triumph for a 2020 interceptor, baker express. Recently installed the TEC full exhaust and it sounds magical. It's a pretty slow bike, which sounds like a con but really isn't. It's so much fun to be able to use more than one gear without losing your license

i love the bike .... without going into the whole long story i will simply say ,.. at twelve thousand miles it started leaking oil at the base gasket ... i am very disappointed ... i am going to be brutally honest here.., For me personally , it is a damn shame that i spent my hard earned ... and by the way , there ain't no stinkin' warranty,.. because they will go 'complete nut job' and give you a million BS reasons for ANY failure,.. Watch the videos of the assembly process , the engines are slapped and screwed together with crossed threads and stripped bolts never reaching proper torque values etc. etc. etc. crooked turn signals heat shields etc. etc. ... It's a 'finish it yourself' proposition just like they have always been since production stopped in England ... Like the corner store down the street selling counterfeit cigars and charging full price.... the alloys used in the engines and in other components are third world substandard, and the machining and casting looks like a fifth graders work , and finally, the bike is a piece of crap , and no matter how much i love it and want it to be good, it is still a piece of crap ...
