What compressor do you use? What are you dealing the pastels with? You talk too fast! Can't keep up....the buckskin pinto sb is wonderful!

If you do something like this again, I recommend Cosclay!! It's a clay that stays bendable after baking, which yeah doesn't work with all models you may use I'm not sure, but if you do, it could add a TON of movement to the hair and keep it from being fragile! Amazing video!!!

I hear you on the Criollo in sabino! I am working on a custom that is just that, using Duende. APPY WIXOM ALL HAIL WIXOM WIXOM IS LIFE. I didn't know you were going! I wish to someday, but I'll need to have someone to help. XD I love the Scythian horse so much! The real life Icelandics were spicy when they were being taken to the ring. They were the only ones I saw being sassy. YOU did the dapple grey unicorn? That looks AMAZING! When exactly is the Art of the Horse deadline to enter? It's hard to find info on it and I've meant to enter it for a year now. I LOVE that mammoth armor horse, OMG! I didn't know it was traditional sized! You did a lot of shows, no wonder you got heat exhaustion. Glad to see Moon Warrior in the NAN show, he's one of my grails. Looks like Takeshi got a mold? (Koifish stallion.) I passed on the Surprise Model, and got Full Moon Rising and Better Than Revenge instead. And the little Wild Thing stablemate. I hope I'll get another shot at Blue Zeus? That Volunteer Croi is delicious! I have the bay roan Totilas and he's one of my top favorites. I would love to see black sabino-boosted rabicano on the Arabian Stone, it's an "asil" color so you can show it as a purebred. Or, if you want any other crossbreed, bay roan! How did your customs do? Your grey shire with the bling bling!? Did you not win anything or will you do a show results video later?

Sounds like an awesome custom! I didn't end up getting any Wixom 😅 I like it but not as much as others. I actually saw the Icelandics escape for a second lol, they were feeling their oats. And thank you! Her video will be the next I post, I'm not sure for next year but I think it was March 29th, it will be on their website/FB, they are doing a better job posting lately. Those are some awesome models! I also hope there is a Blue Zeus round 2. Oh a rabicano would be cool!! I did pretty well, I didn't take much because it's so far but I got 6 top 10 placings at NAN and 2 overall champs. The shire didn't place in his class but it was some real crazy competition, my German horse was also in his class and he did end up placing though.

By the way in your video I didn't notice the first time watching it but you say that the smocky black girl is the breyerfest exclusive, it was the red roan, the smocky black and the bay were both available at breyerwest and breyerfest! @@starbatcraft another cool fact is that most kelpies are shown as black, but the one in the story of the River Spey was a white one that lured riders onto its back with singing. There are even some rare stories kelpies being helpful. Also one story where a kelpie becomes a mortal human to marry a girl he fell in love with. Such a cool piece of folklore!

any advice for a beginner? I'm thinking of bying to collecta shire mares and turning them into geldings and paint them like two horses I know irl, one of them I love so much, but I'm unsure where to start

Sure! I think anywhere is a good place to start, you will get the hang of it as you go. I don't work much with soft plastic like collecta (daisy stalls has good videos with those) but I think it's similar enough that you need a primer, acrylic paint (liquitex is a good affordable brand), and a sealer in the finish you like (matte/gloss) and where you go from there is up to you! I like using eyeshadow/pastel to shade after painting. And to do any sculpt work you'll want a two part apoxie clay.

Gorgeous lil swallow on my favorite mold!! An owl pegasus would be awesome!! I would choose a calmer mold as they are most often seen on a branch static! Plus everyone represents their pegasus with their wings spread, I am curious to see what you would make with folded wings! My favorite birds (I am basic i know) are corvids, so crows, ravens magpies etc for their intelligence (and also for their looks) I'd imagine a crow on a friesian mold but maybe that's too obvious, so maybe a mold with a beautiful roman nose (but the only one I can think of is the irish draft and doesn't fit the energy) so I would robably add the roman nose on another mold like Rivet or the reining stablemates molds!

Oh that's a great point, the folded wings would be pretty cool! I love corvids, I was initially going to do a red winged black bird but that mold seemed like it should be a barn swallow. A friesian would be so cool though ❤️ I might be biased haha. I did add a roman nose on an upcoming custom 😉
