Would have loved to see some rabicano! All time favorite Arabian color is the sabino boosted black rabicano. He's lovely! XD
@starbatcraft8 ай бұрын
I definitely debated going sabino or rabicano, I have to do one at some point! Polaris is one of my favorite Breyers. Glad you like him! 🥰

I hate being the annoying safety person but it's because I care! 😅 When using E6000 please use a mask and make sure you're in a well ventilated area! The vapors are EXTREMELY toxic. You're also supposed to change clothes and wash ypur hands after using it 😅 It says it on the tube, but not a lot of people know that, including myself when I used to use it 😅 The horse and paint job is incredible btw, you just keep getting better and better! ❤

I aspire for your paintjob quality!!! Could you maybe show how to do a paint repair on an OF model? If you know how?
@Managable_Mayhem8 ай бұрын
I would be interested in that as well. Saw someone on a website the other day asking for help to repair a custom and while I'd love to help, I have no idea how to fix the colouring. I imagine it's hard or a trial and error thing since we do not know the original paints/pastels used. :'D

@@Managable_Mayhem Sameeee, I have a 2002 Spirit that needs paint touch up and I dont want to ruin him without getting the closest colors first
@Managable_Mayhem8 ай бұрын
@@AllisonRichardsonSquared Hmm, for models without lots of shading or detailed markings, you could maybe try matching the colour on a piece of plastic, clay, etc. and then hold it next to the model's repair-needing part. I prefer using pastels, but that would mean even MORE testing out than with acryllic paints, so I'd suggest those instead. You also don't need to seal them to stay on like with pastels (which changes their colour...which is my biggest problem tbh). You could always try to look up tutorials. Reddit is good enough for posting those kinda questions and getting help, tho the Breyer forum doesn't seem to be very active.

Thank you!! And I'm not an expert but I have just used thinned acrylic in layers, the real struggle is color matching. It always dries darker than it looks wet. And I usually mix my matte and gloss varnish to get a similar finish to Breyer. Probably not the fanciest way but I've gotten placings in shows and don't think the judges noticed the fixes. Maybe if I need to fix another one I'll make an insta reel or something!

This is so beautiful! You did an amazing job!❤ One question: Will you be making a tack set for him? If you are you should make an actual bit since his mouth is open. Just a thought but it would be cool!🥰

Thank you! That's a good idea, the bit would be cool like that 😍

This is a really good paint job. I´m an repainter too and I don´t know were I can get Resins from. Have you recommendations?
@starbatcraft7 ай бұрын
Glad you like it! 🥰 The best place is probably Facebook groups, resin horse sales? Something like that, as well as Model Horse Connection but they are undergoing a site redesign right now. Also if you find a sculpter you like on Instagram or something they usually have a newsletter or website you can follow for releases
