Would warming any individual part of the apparatus be useful ,or a paradoxical hindrance?

not really, the heat needs to be focused on the material in order to soften it. This is because, naturally hard material like brass, harden under the metal spinning process even more so. The annealing process aids in the forming of the material

I have 2 question please its better anneal copper or normal ? And second what can i do if i dont want make it thinner ? I have 0,5 mm but on the top its 0,3… is ut possible make from 0,5 mm on start 0,5 on the top ? Thanks 😊

@@simonmatejovsky7751 it all depends on the shape and size. The deeper the spinning the higher the likelihood of annealing. You also need to factor in the grade of Copper. You can acquired O-condition which generally is a softer grade which helps with it's formability. However, the shape and size of the component will still very much dictate if annealing is required. As for the thinning, you can start on top with 0.5mm but there will always be a level of thinning of the material due to the flow of material during the spinning process. You can start with a thicker material in order to achieve the desired end thickness

Good to see old methods of spinning still alive - but believe me, I would never trim a spinning that side of the peg. Done it , still got the scars to show for it.

Yes I was taught to be on the other side of the peg - memories!

What is the tightest tolerance you guys deal with? +\-.002???
@Excellmetalspinning7 ай бұрын
In mm we have worked with tolerances as tight as +/-0.2mm, as standard we work with tolerances of +/-0.5mm
