Couple questions why did you take of the m2 heat sink and not install your nvme? Also if I add another nvme do I use m2.2 or m2.3 so I don’t lose the speed?
@Silent15721 сағат бұрын
I took it off to demonstrate the M.2 slots and also how easily the cover is removed from the motherboard as opposed to previously having a small screw to remove.

I'm having issues with my mobo.. wondering if the lower pci port is necessary. I'm running a 1k power supply with a 7900x that requires 3 pci power plugs. During board the computer keeps clicking off. Takes minutes to be able to re boot. No thermal issues, so it has to be power right?
@Silent15721 сағат бұрын
If you believe it may be power, try to boot the computer without the video card and instead use the built-in GPU in your CPU, if it as one and see if there is display. If there is, then re-check the PCI-connections for the GPU on the PSU, as sometimes one of these can be confused with the 8-pin CPU power connector. However, if you see the same issue, then the issue may not be the video card.

i have a question and i really hope you can help me :) so i just got that motherboard as well and finished a building and everything is running nicely but your mobo shows code 00 when running but mine shows 08, have i done something wrong?

Mine may be showing a code 00 because I'm only in the BIOS. The code changes once you are booted into an operating system like Windows.

thanks for the great video! upgrading to 9800x3d and went with this mobo. NewEgg had a 9800x3d bundled with an MSI 360mm AIO so it’ll match my MSI 7900xtx. Went with an MSI case to keep an MSI theme this time around. My current build is all ASUS besides the GPU so it’ll be cool to fully match now. Gonna miss my ASUS build tho, i love their logo and aesthetics.

About to start a new build with this motherboard but I'm apprehensive about updating the Bios. I updated the Bios on my last build in preparation for upgrading a few parts and my computer started crashing constantly. I downgraded my Bios back to the original version I had it on but the problems persisted. Not even a system restore worked. Could updating the Bios to the most recent or just a newer version BEFORE installing windows cause this again?
@Silent1575 күн бұрын
If your BIOS is working well and no benefit of better performance, new features, or fixes are being offered in a newer version, then I would say just keep the version you are on. However, if your version is the initial first release, I would recommend it since the posting times and other benefits are offered, if you haven't started installing your OS yet. If you're doing a whole new build and just got the motherboard, then not a bad idea to update it also. If there are any issues, then you're within a period to have it exchanged with your retailer if needed.

Greetings, is it necessary to use the PCIE_PWR1 port at the bottom? Trying to figure it out as I'm doing a build with the same motherboard. Thanks!
@Silent1576 күн бұрын
I believe this is more geared for the newer 4090 and above power hungry video cards. I'm currently using this motherboard with a 9900x and a 3070 TI and not using the connection. Working normally.
@DeAtHvAnGeL6 күн бұрын
@Silent157 I do have a 4090 but the problem is it already uses all my VGA ports in my PSU as it uses 4 so I wouldn't have any other way of plugging that one in

amd b350 drivers has a recently updated windows 7 section so I'm really confused as to why nothing I do allows for usb passthrough to win7 or its drivers. Legacy USB access is allowed in BIOS and I've tried most other fixes as well. This is nuts. Will pay for help at this point lol
@AxeFxMike6 күн бұрын
Hello! I simply cannot get the prime 350 plus board to give me usb passthrough on win7 installation or clone of existing install. I tried most methods and some of the wittier ones like installing the "amd chipset" driver .exe while on the existing install machine. Nothin. and the ps2 port thing, I'd need a splitter. Even then, what would I do? I will pay someone to help me figure this out. I need to record audio on a modern machine but with windows 7 software.
@AxeFxMike6 күн бұрын
No matter what I do, I can't get usb support on 1800x + b350 prime plus I don't want to only run windows 7 on older hardware! I've even cloned the old drive and booted from the new one, tried ps2 but apparently I need a splitter, I installed the b350 drivers while booted into the old hardware, then transferred. Nothing works. Please help

Maybe a stupid question, but does it include the screws to mount it on the pc case? All the unboxing videos I’ve seen don’t mention any screws included in the box. Thanks!
@Silent1578 күн бұрын
Not at all and have been asked before. Those scres come with the computer case you're installing your board into. They are pretty generic and replacements can usually be found in sets off newegg or amazon. They don't come with the board.

That may sound like throttling due to the chip getting warm. Was this only 1 file or multiple files? Speeds can vary when transferring multiple files.
