@@LuisLopez-qp5gnremove the bov or some people set the pressure really high on an aftermarket bov so the air makes the turbo spin back the opposite direction but it causes premature wear on the turbo so not recommended

@@gavinlee9478even if it is imma do it every drive as soon as oil is up to temp. If I need a new turbo a bit earlier because of it so be it. I don’t thrash on the throttle as much as I love to make noise so it’s fine by me. I’m sure guys that are buying cars like this are ok with the small difference as well

I bought the Kompact blow off valve that’s not adjustable. It’s 50/50. I also have the Roush cold air intake and I never get turbo flutter. Is it because I didn’t get the right BOV?

Its because you have a BOV in general, turbo flutter is the result of the pressurized air from the turbo not making it into the engine

Due to the throttle body closing. So all that pressurized air has nowhere to go but back out of the turbo causing the flutter because of two opposing currents of air one from the exhaust spinning the compressor, and one from the intake forcing back on the turbine. A BOV alleviates all of this by either recirculating some or all of the air to the intake, or venting to the atmosphere giving you the PSHH

I was wondering how you did this? I currently have a Roush Cold Air Intake and a ST Dual Port Kompact Blow off valve and I can not get any flutter at all unless the car was just started recently and even then it only does it once. Please help.

How to destroy your turbo 101. Legit fastest way to destroy your turbo is a recirc valve mod. Don’t do this is you like your car. You need a quality adjustable vent to atmosphere bov and you can get this sound but much better and you’ll be able to adjust the noise/flutter level.

My xr6 turbo sututututus way more louder and longer then this without a blow off value, if your trying to achieve this specific flutter sound, you don't run a bov at all delete it.. sure it's not good for the turbo but yolo 🤷 mines done ,50k kms still boosting hard 🤣 if you want some real turbo doses look up some "VL TURBO" videos 👌

In this vid the diverter Valve “blow off valve” is deleted, pure turbo and the reason it sounds the way it does is because of the specific intake,SR Performance. With the diverter valve connected it would still flutter.

This is true, i run the sr performance intake on my car but with the diverted valve connected and while it won’t usually (sometimes) flutter when i rev, it flutters through every gear at 3k rpm’s and above

There are so many variables with the sound of turbo flutter. Your engine and turbo being twice the size of whats in the video will also play a part.
