Thanx Gary. Yes I have not been out since early May and it was nice to be riding again. It's probably been the same in your neck of the woods, with lots of sweltering hot weather and rain. Because of all the rain, the bugs have been really bad this year. I don't go out riding in the summer with heat and bugs! 90% of my riding is Spring and Fall and I do plan on getting out lots from now till late October.

How is the frontmount plow system? Im looking into purchasing one myself. Im undecided on a 54" or 60" plow. Is the 60" to big?
@My17A
@My17A Ай бұрын
@@briankilpiainen5529 If I were to get another one, I would get the 54”. The 60” is a great plow, but it’s very heavy. I would estimate it weighs around 150 pounds. It’s very good quality and will last a long time. It is very easy to attach to the machine with the front mounting system. Takes only a couple of minutes. Make sure to get the steel pulley and not the plastic one it comes with. The plastic one will break. Your dealer should know that. You’ll be happy with the plow, just get the 54” one! Thanx for watching.
@briankilpiainen5529
@briankilpiainen5529 Ай бұрын
@My17A Thanks for the quick response. I was also just wondering how the plow works on the quad being the front mount. Can it push a lot of snow, or would the center mount frame have worked better? With the 54" blade turned on an angle, will the plow push the snow past the the line if the tires? Thanks again.
@My17A
@My17A Ай бұрын
@@briankilpiainen5529 I'm not sure if the plow would push the snow past the ends of the tires if you had the 54" blade. I would think it would. Not an issue with the 60" blade. With the front mount, my Grizzly pushes a lot of snow. We live in the snow belt of eastern Ontario and get a lot of snow. I have never got stalled pushing snow yet with regular snow no matter how deep. The only time it struggles a bit is heavy wet snow, (slush) and then all I did was raise the blade a few inches and then do a couple of passes instead of trying to push a wall of slush as high as the top of the blade in a single pass. You won't have any issues pushing huge amounts of snow, and it will even be easier with a 54" blade.

Hello from Arkansas!! Thanks for taking us along on your adventures. I don’t know if you have covered it before but what storage bag are you using on the back of the Grizzly?
@My17A
@My17A 5 ай бұрын
Hello and thanx for question. The bag on the back of my Grizzly is an "ATV Tech". You can go to their website or on Amazon. They come in Black like mine or Camo. I have had mine for five seasons now and it is holding up very well. Only some minor abrasion on the bottom from rubbing on the racks. The outer is rubberized so it keeps the moisture out pretty good. The inside has a steel frame so it keeps it shape nicely. It holds lots of gear and is off and on in about a minute. I have had hard case, bolt on rear luggage before but I prefer soft bags. I think I paid about $140.00 Cad, but now I think they are over $200.00!.....just like everything else.

@My17A
@My17A 5 ай бұрын
I agree. The Akaso was filmed in 4K 30 FPS which is the highest resolution and the Go Pro was in 2K and it's still better. The deal breaker for me is the Akaso does not have the same wide angle view as the GoPro. You have to make sure you are always pointed exactly in the direction you want to film or you may miss it. It's a great action cam for doing something like a hike mounted on a stick or tripod when you are controlling it with your hand, but just not good for ATV/Motorcycle trips. It's very good quality and you get a shitload of accessories with it that you have to pay extra for in a GoPro and that makes it a very good alternative. ie 2 x Batteries, Duel Charging system, Remote etc.....

Pat.....Yes, this camera seems to perform just as good as any or even better than any of the GoPro's I have had, and for less than half the price. And you get a bunch of stuff you would pay extra for with a GoPro......Remote, 2 x Batteries, 64 GB SD Card. The mounts are the same as a GoPro so you don't even have to re-attach a new one to your helmet. Battery life seems decent. I got a little over an hour out of one battery @ 4k 30 FPS. I'll be using it Friday when I go out.

Hi Dave did you get out for a ride with John this year ?
@My17A
@My17A 7 ай бұрын
Hi Gary. No I have not been out with John since we rode in May 2022! He is an excellent rider and knows the trails really well, but he is getting a bit older now (well into his 70's) and spends lots of time with his grandkids. He's also a couple hours south of me so it's a bit of a hike for him to come up this far. We rode for years together down in the Massanoga (about an hr south of me) but I didn't get down that way last year at all. That's where the mini-tornado went thru and really obliterated the trails in spring 2022 just after John and I did our last ride. I'm planning on getting down there this year. I'll get in touch with him.

Love this road.. been on it twice in my car, once in the winter and just two weeks ago. It was kind of sketchy in the winter with two freshly cut up trees that fell on the road, some road washout but wasn't that bad. Right now the biggest thing to worry about is the logging trucks, and I did encounter one i had to backup to let by who had no interest in slowing down or stopping. Lol.

The earth is warming in small increments at present but overall it is cooling and the data suggest that things will be much cooler very soon.
