did you use outboard reverb / vst reverb or prophet 6 fx ?

This was super helpful, finally managed to get a great electric piano patch going on my synth. Thanks so much 3 years later :)

Perfect ! Thank you very inspiring . I’ve been doubting , should I buy a true analog synth , ( controlled by expressive e osmose ) I’m very into atmospheres , pads , ambient .

Thank you, Lachlan. This is a fantastic tutorial, and you explained everything so well. You made this synth shine, making me want a Prophet 6.

Hi, thanks for the video, I just purchased my first ever Prophet6 and I don't get how you get started / how you get to the first initial sound you are using to then get to your sound patch. My 109 bank sounds very different and if I start from scratch I don't have the sound you have at 3:00 Thanks!!

Do you sell the music sheet for the song?
@LachlanVines8 ай бұрын
No sorry I don’t have a way of distributing that

Really nice. I might try to recreate that on the OB-6. Should be fairly similar yeah? (Besides the filter)

Amazing video. I have a Take-5 and it's very similar in sound to the Prophet-6.

Decent tutorial, a bit too much explaining for me. This is one of Zimmer's most forgettable themes, IMHO, and likely came out like this because his heart wasn't in the project. He said he came up with it in the first hours after he agreed to work on the project and never revised it. This was after saying he wouldn't score the film to Denis V over five times, as he was on a world tour. Eventually, he reluctantly said yes, and did most of the work in 10 days during a break in the tour. The best music was done by Ben W who reworked Vangelis with Zimmer really well. I'd love to hear some other Zimmer theme tutorials for a Prophet.

Amazing sound you got there, thanks for the tutorial! Will try this out on my p6. I was wondering if the lick you play at 18:13 is from a song? It’s feels familiar but I don’t know what song it would be

That’s great! It’s interesting to see that sort of CS80 brass (Vangelis sound) programmed into a Prophet-6! Also very interesting piece of music. 👍🎹

I was able to create the sound on my P6 following the exact process but when I get to the LFO the sound totally changes and sounds different from yours. It sounds off key and too wavy. I tried making more subtle adjustments on the frequency knob and initial amount within the LFO but I have to turn off Freq 1 and Freq 2 (I click the buttons so the Red light is off) to return to the warm beautiful sound. Can anyone explain why this is happening? Why does my LFO make the sound unpleasant? Beginner here! Appreciate all your tips!
@LachlanVines Жыл бұрын
This may seem silly but have you checked that the mod wheel is set to zero? Mod wheel is hardwired to the LFO so if it’s turned up, turning on the LFO can make things go wild.
@voiceofyasmeen Жыл бұрын
Ok so that was def it! I put it down to zero like yours and it sounds much closer! Thank you!!!!
