Do you dry off the cleaning solution with a tissue after soaking overnight and before putting in the saline solution. I haven’t seen any videos do this but it seems putting the lens in your eye without wiping off the solution would damage your eye???

I just have 3 questions 1. What can cure keratoconus? 2. Can scleral lences stop the progression of keratoconus? 3. Is using scleral lences before cross linking surgery a right option?

i hope u see this, i also have keratoconus so i can answer ur questions as ive done a lot of research, no you can not cure it however its progression can be stopped with cross linking, no scleral lens can only correct your vision, for ur last, you can use it however if you dont stop the progression of ur keratoconus you will need to change ur lens often which will financialy be a burden

surgery itself is not painful but once anesthesia then pain will start pain will be there from 16 hours-3 days varies from person to person

Makeup gets in my eye no matter what especially if you are wearing heavy eye liner. There's just no avoiding it. And after I take out my contacts at the end of the night my contacts will have makeup debris on them.

i have used everclean since i got my sclerals in 2019. its great, but then it went out of stock for like 9 months in EU in 2022/2023. So i had to find an alternative and they said i could use Boston simplus or Regard K. I used it and i have more comfort in my eyes with this. the optician said tho that i needed some tablet/pills for the solution to clean it completley like each 5th day.

I have it in both eyes. No whites just blood. Extremely painful. Drops do nothing to relieve pain. Extremely light sensitive. My platelet count is 30,000 now and it keeps dropping. Cancer is suspected.

Thanks. i just had this problem a week ago and in two or three days the blood was gone in my eye, just as the doctor stated. I am a senior man and never in my life had this issue ever in the past. 😀😀

I've had this condition since my early 20s and it's quite annoying to me. People think that I'm possessed 😢. Isn't there a contact that I can wear that will hide this arc??? I am of Cuban descent and most of my father's side of the family have this arc. And our cholesterol isn't abnormally high.

good thing I am getting mine through the VA, the fitting is what takes longer, since I have astigmatism and my left eye is the bad one that eye is still taking longer to get the right fit. But I am glad I do not have to pay anything.. the numbers I see in the comments are wild, but the vision is amazing with scleras.

@Muzicboy3 20/20 or better, my right eye is done with the fitting, and the left is almost done, the brand I have no idea, since the VA does everything I never get to see brands, and I don't really ask either. But right now with my right lenses could wear it for over 8 hours and no fog at all, that's why is important to have the right fit.

@@montyhadesthey don’t tell you the exact reading? Like if it’s 20/15 or 20/10? I’ve heard of these lens giving people 20/10 sometime so I was just curious

@Muzicboy3 I get 20/15 on the right eye once the lense is settled, but to be honest, I can see way better with the sclera than with glasses, plus they are so comfortable to wear, if you are planning on getting them, you should give it a try, at least I hate wearing glasses and having the scleras it's been a great experience so far and I'm still on the last stages of fitting.

@@montyhadescould you please ask what brand they are fitting you in? I’d like to know as I’ve only heard of 2 brands and they are the leading brands so since you like your brand I’d like to know just for comparison purposes. Also you’re lucky to have your insurance cover full cost

The fact that I had to fight with my insurance company to get cross-linking for Keratoconus which is a medical condition is just sick. And the fact that they won’t pay for this medically necessary lens for me to be able to see it is just wrong. What’s the point of $600 a month healthcare insurance if it doesn’t cover anything!?

To have to pay that much and observe the government pay for a sex change is beyond me I hear your comparison and what about the Hippocratic oath that you have taken as a doctor then think of the harm that has been done to men and women that have sex changes and then don’t want them ? The complication that comes with those surgeries and the amount of time given for a warranty for a scaleral lens is sad 90 days and your stuck after that

Is it safe to use the Refresh Celluvisc vials in my scleral lens? I was out one day & needed to re-insert my lens. I put the Refresh in my lens & it felt good. I'm just wondering if it's safe

Its not the lenses that cost so much. Its the exam cost to fit the correct lense. I have them and they're great. Whats your vision worth ?

I used to have this issue with basic saline. I recommend scleral fill for max comfort and longer wear without fog or build up
