Hi a couple of questions 1. Will this work with the Samsung the frame 32 inch tv? 2. I see that the app works with kaleidiscape and Plex plug-ins does or do you have plans to have emby or r_volution plug ins also?

Hi. Yes.... the DMP-02 works just fine on the 32" Samsung Frame TV. Also a R_volution plugin is in development now. We are working directly with R_volution to create a special edition pluging.

@@bdub4899 Yes.... the DMP-02 still has to connect to the Samsung Connect box with the included HDMI cable. You can choose the screen orientation of the Pro movie poster app from within the SETTINGS tab in the app. This is helpful if you don't know which side is up or down after you've mounted the Frame TV on the wall.

Just got my DMB Lite set up today! Loving it so far... any plans in the future to incorporate plugins from more apps? I have a ton of digital copies through Fandango at Home (Vudu) - would love if that could be incorporated too for the automatic poster and banner switching as well!

I don't have any where near this level of gear but one thing I knew when I built my budget theater that i didn't want and that was the speakers showing. That's why i opted for an acoustically transparent screen, there's a place in Secaucus New Jersey called Dazien and they are a theatrical supply company, they serve the theaters on Broadway, they sell curtains i think backdrops bd movie screen material for any size theater, i was lucky enough to buy the material for my screen, the woman I spoke with was very nice, her name was Arlene, i went to pick up the material, it cost me 50 bucks, i built a frame stretched the material and in no time i had ny screen which is 120 inch diagonal.

Any TV will work. The app outputs in portrait (user selectable). Just get any TV, mount it in vertical, and you're good to go.

For a $2k price tag… you can do this yourself. There are plenty of tutorials online on how to do it, for a fraction of the cost. Will be way less Than what they are charging.

Looks like they use a raspberry pi. If so you can just add a poe hat to it. It costs $20.

Hi Shannon. Our Lite edition of the software does not play movie trailers. Our Pro edition plays trailers but as of this writing it is not released yet.

If that was mine, I would have all the amps, etc for the home cinema elsewhere and have dark curtains along the walls on motorised poles and do something with the ceiling as you don’t want reflections on there. Even on the floor too.

I like the app. My issue is that I have two monitors, how can I run two different monitors at the same time? Do I need two different receivers? Been trying to figure this out.

Hi Alex. The DMP-02 media player is designed to run on a single TV since it has only 1 HDMI port. But you can add a HDMI splitter (available on Amazon) to the DMP-02 and output to many more TV'S. Keep on mind that with only the 1 DMP-02 source all other connected tv's will display the same image.

This looks just like just what I need! Can it sync with a Kaleidescape and run autonomously? So for example. If I press play on a movie on the KScape it will tell me what is playing in the theater room and what time it will end? Also will this work on macOS? Many thanks!

@@nowayman1981 yes...we do plan on releasing a K-scape plug in soon. But with that said I have a question. Why would you want the poster of the movie that you are watching inside your room to be displayed on the board outside the room? You won't see it since you are watching a movie inside. Also it would only display 1 movie poster for the duration of the movie. I would think you would want the movie board to do it's thing...play all kinds of content continuously amazing all who see it. Now, with that said, you could create a custom folder in our app, call it Now Playing, copy and paste several movie posters and movie trailers of the movie you are watching, and drop them into that folder, and select that folder to play back while watching the movie...thus keeping the content changing on the movie board.

The posters look good but how practical are they really. After all when the movie starts one would wish to have the room as dark as possible and to think I haven't even mentioned the acoustics.

Movie posters are extremely popular with home theater and gameroom enthusiasts. Typically you would mount the movie boards outside your theater room just like a real movie theater. For those that must mount them inside their theater room you would want them to be off when viewing movies.
