HI man, just bought a one plus 12 to replace my broken s10plus, would you say you'd recommend a lens protector? I've never bought one and kina worried about picture quality and difficulty of removing the protector.

If your budget is tight, these are the obvious choice in my opinion. I'd argue that their sound quality is about the same, but honestly, the airpods pro 2 are going to be a more polished experience. If you have an iPhone, you benefit from some Apple-exclusive features as well.

03:16 Exactly. Apple fanboys nowdays are bragging with technology that others used for years and years. My Lumia 920 got wireless charging back in 2012. Along with NFC, amoled screen, great ois camera, damn it was such a great phone. Anyways, I'm expecting next iphones to have "next level" tech named fast charging and usb-c 3.0 for just a little increase in price :D Can't argue the general quality of the product, but they are behaving like broad consumers are dumber then they are

Even though op12 looks better than gcam
@VicharB

I remember when Gcam for so necessary to use with Oneplus phones to get better pics across the board on average and quickness. With Oneplus 12 I am really enjoying the stock, besides it will take months for proper GCam xml to come and then that it supports all camera modules, both for photos and videos. So, this time I am not even thinking of GCam. When I got Pixel 7 for my wifey, I told her it is one of the best true to life, she somehow does not agree with me - but they are really much better compared to my older Oneplus 10 Pro.

Yeah. I have OP8p and OP11. OP8p can take good photos, but not in difficult conditions. Anyway, Gcam provides much better output. As for OP11, the stock result is great. I also couldn't find any worthy Gcam mods and configs

It could certainly be a rogue background process, so it's worth keeping an eye on the Battery Settings page to see if any one app is taking up a lot of power and data in the background (Snapchat is a common culprit). That said, it's very understated just how much battery power is taken by searching for a cell & wifi signal. If you live/work in a place with poor reception (especially if your desk is along a concrete/steel wall, for example), it can drain your battery very quickly. Doesn't mean anything is wrong with the phone - it's just working hard to find and maintain a data connection :(

@@Wildman-Tech i guess the problem with some battery drain overnight is becouse my phone is trying to find good cell reception, i will turn off in the night the celular data since i have wifi, didin't see any apps that drain battery like crazy, only those that i use, but still i'm pleased with the battery on my phone , can get a day no matter how i use it. thanks for sharing the info

Man, I'm so torn between upgrading to 12 now or waiting for 13! In my opinion in the camera department it's more of a side-grade (compared to big upgrades in other departments), although the zoom camera is something I'd definitely love to have. When it comes to the mics, I feel like the Pixel is more pleasant and warmer, but the quietness of it is extremely frustrating, especially when trying to use google assistant or voice to text in a car (I know you're not supposed to use your phone in the car, but using it with voice seems much safer tbh, and having my pixel not understand or even hear me is so frustrating and distracting). I think the Pixel produces pictures that are usually more pleasant out of the box but OnePlus has more detail and it feels like after some editing it would be better than the pixel. Have you edited any of your OnePlus photos? If so, were you able to bring out some of that HDRness? Ultrawide on the Pixel is bad imo, and I feel anything would be an upgrade over that xD The video stabilization seems much better on the OnePlus and I feel like much of the color and HDR performance could be better after some editing. Is that the case? I also feel like the higher performance chip on the OnePlus is doing a much better job in video, especially in the night shots. Overall very nice video, especially for a small channel, I hope you have a lovely day! :D
@Wildman-Tech
@Wildman-Tech Ай бұрын
Thanks so much for the feedback! You're totally right about the mics. It's a better sound but it's unrealistic with how quiet it is for day-to-day stuff. Unfortunately, the OP12 google assistant is slower to activate than the P6 (~2 secs vs instant), which is just as obnoxious as the mic not picking up everything perfectly! If you don't have a good reason to upgrade yet, no harm in waiting for the OP13. It'll have a design refresh and the latest snapdragon chip, but otherwise is rumored to be a fairly safe upgrade. The biggest killshot for my experience was the battery. Getting 2-3x the P6 battery life has made life so much nicer. Everything else is just a treat on top!

Watching from my oneplus 12 512 top variant. I have Switched from oneplus 7 256gb. No words to say , worth every penny you spent! I have done more comparison with i phone 15 . In my views oneplus is the value for money product. I can see some reviewers say that the camera is not upto the mark. But that's not true. Every phone has some advantage over one. If you are craze about new AI features go for samsung. If videography and apple UI is your priority go for I phone. If you are searching for a best value for money in Android go blindly on oneplus 12 you will be satisfied. (NOTE : I STILL USE MY ONEPLUS 7 It's working fine without any issues)

@Wildman-Tech
@Wildman-Tech Ай бұрын
Thank you! And oops, I didn't even catch that! I'm on Verizon, so I'm just grateful the OnePlus 12 works at all on it, since they're a very restrictive network. Pixel 6 had pretty average reception in my experience, and the OP12 is definitely superior. One frustrating thing though is that the OP12 seems to have slightly weaker wifi range. For example, my Pixel 6 stays connected to wifi wherever in my house, but the OP12 starts to lose connection strength sooner, while claiming a healthy signal still. For 4G/5G though, it's been excellent. Solid improvement over the P6

Update, I got the dual chargers for the wall and car. The only part of the system that works in the full oneplus way is the usb A to usb c port. The second port that is usb c is "only" usb power delivery. This is fine but worth understanding. You see, the oneplus cables that are usb c to usb c are not triggering the warp charging. And in fact those cables are not even going to full power delivery speeds. It's a bit of a drag but both good to know and need to know. My extra oneplus usb c to usb c cables now only work fully on my older charger. During this checking I also found that the older OnePlus long usb a to usb c cable that came with the oneplus 3 actually work at 100 watts on the new system. Im digging them out for use.and ginna try to order a couple of them. (Often sold out at oneplus but available at other sellers)

I ordered the USB A to USB C ones and got them cheaper by buying the longer ones that are labeled Dash charging. (They lost the rights to use DASH since someone else had it before them) my OnePlus 3T was (I think) the last one where it was called DASH.
@gmosc
@gmosc Ай бұрын
Update to update. I got some third party copies of OnePlus dash cables. Same flat wire same length same color but "dash" is not printed on cables. The phone announces 100 watt super vooc so the wiring is correct but the app I use to check wattage shows the wattage jumping up high but ramps down. So the phone can see that something is different in the wiring (maybe thinner wires with more resistance?) So the third party wires aren't as good as the originals. I bought two and might send the unopened one back. It's important that they are made by OnePlus.
