finally someone is teaching at the right speed. some videos are too slow and boring, and some others do the so fast that you have to watch 4-5 times to find out what they said and that is even worse in time wasting concept. but you teach at the sweet spot of speed. keep going with this style:)

How was the portrait image made? That is an AMAZING technique that I would like to learn
@Varmth

As someone who know nothing about photography, my guess is a bright af light from the side and turned up exposure (thats why the details on the side of the body blend in with the wight background), and of course theres editing.

@ but what is the editing technique? The portrait blends completely white so I KNOW it’s an editing technique, I just don’t know what it is

@@TheCreatorJournee Actually on my screen it doesn't seem to blend completely but it's pretty much there. Now for the technique I guess you can do multiple things like increase the exposure, and brightness, since the light is from the side, the side will be the brightest, but if you want to do the complete blend in thing you can use a soft white airbrush and just paint over the side (after the picture is made B&W), However bright enough lights are known to create this high exposure which hides the details of the skin where it contacts.

Excellent tutorial - thorough and comprehensive. Although I have been using Photoshop for about 27 years I don't recall having used gradients maps to create a more unique appearance to images. Just got PS 2025 and feel like I have been transported back the beginning of my learning experience. Time to "step up" my photos/artwork a notch or two. Thanks!

OK, but how do I crop it on just one side like if I pull the left side the top bottom and right move as well if I pull the top the bottom left and right move as well. How do I stop that?

Thank you so much! Why on earth would you "update" the legacy transform option? Ever heard of the saying, "If it ain't broke don't fix it?" Not enjoying the speed of Adobe Cloud either...

Why does Adobe use secrets keyboard shortcuts to merge a copy of your layers onto a new layer you can't find these keyboard shortcuts anywhere!

Hmm... I’m curious as to why the _File > Export > Export As..._ option wasn't used in this video when exporting a PNG image while still preserving transparency. Wouldn’t that be *a simpler approach?* Or... is there a difference between 'Save As...' / 'Save a Copy' and 'Export As...' that I’m not aware of? I'd appreciate some clarification on this. Thank you!
