The thing that i love about the writing in this is that magneto is well known for his grand speeches but when you can shut down the entire planet theres just no need. Hes tried diplomacy. Hes tried playing nice. Hes been merciful despite what people think. And now its at the end of the line. There is no more nice guy. There is no debate. It is as he says. "Enough."

I know Cyclops extending an olive branch to a man willing to turn even his own mother into a cyber-slave seems ludicrous at first, but you have to remember that Bastion’s capacity for free will is compromised. From even before birth, Bastion has had the Nimrod Sentinel’s programming constantly influencing his mind. Filling his brain with, as he calls it, an overpowering, irresistible “urge” to complete Nimrod’s prime directive, Mutant subjection, as soon as physically possible. J.R.R. Tolkien mentioned that one aspect of LOTR he regretted was the depiction of Orcs as being instinctually compelled to do harm, because how they can be called evil if they have no choice in acting the way they do? The same logic applies to Bastion. Cyclops most likely thought that a skilled psychic could free Bastion of his directive and make his decisions truly his own for the first time in his life, but Bastion ended up a slave to his programming to the bitter end. A monster…that was never given a chance to be anything else.

Since Brad said that Season 2 will have to X teams, my theory is that Forge's X-Factor will be led by Forge & Bishop as a temporary team as well as a search & rescue team & judging by the roster board, the team will consist of: Colossus, Shadowcat, Emma Frost, Archangel (Maybe), Magik, Iceman & Havok. Were certainly getting X-Force as one of the show's promotional arts features Sunspot in his X-Force costume and judging by the roster board it looks like Jubilee will be joining Cable & Sunspot to form the team and they will more than likely recruit classic members such as Cannonball, Boom Boom, Domino & Warpath.

The brilliance of the writing is that this was the go to plan, no scene thinking about it or talking about it, but SHOWING it so smoothly that this was always possible and Magnito could have done this at any point.

This version of Magneto is better than the movie version. I always thought they nerfed him too much in the movie version. And also they weren't very creative on how he used magnetism like he used it to control metal but magnetism embodies so many different f****** things like Magneto EMPing the whole planet is totally something Magneto can actually do

I think Bastion was a better pick for the Genoshan massacre because it needed to be a hate crime born out of intolerance for Mutants. The message rings a little hollow when it's committed by a Lovecraftian psychic twin creature with a personal vendetta against one man.

It's not really gay. We all have that one friend we all consider a brother and we love them like they are our blood so much so we are willing to do what it takes to help and stand with a brother no matter what. This scene represents what Patrick Stewart said all those years ago " Just cause someone stumbles and looses there way dosnt mean there lost forever. Sometimes we all need a little help." I believe that's wht this scene is representing not Gay crap. I know Disney has a history of trying push an agenda but this show didn't really have much of it. Am grateful it was focused on story, character development and epic music. Side not they did Gambit dirty bro deserved better. Also Rogue took away her🍑

Magneto and Xavier relationship was always respect for one another, no matter what they did, even though it is flawed as you just saw Wolverine almost dying at the hand of Magneto. The comics definitely did Fatal Attractions better because Xavier is more realistic, he is ready to end Magneto's life to save countless others. In the show you can rather agree with Bastion that Xavier is willing to let the dream of a peaceful coexistence die because of him being naive. But that Xavier is also the one who just saw a little girl dying for several days and he could do nothing about it. This one's more hopeful.

If he really wanted to torture them he should have said "Sure man, sounds legit! Can I have Gambit's old room?" Then they would have to give a space over to the dude that killed thousands of em. And it would have caused a schism where a good chunk of them started to resent Cyclops. And then they would have turned on and killed each other while Bastion ate popcorn in a folding chair. That was Bastion's downfall. He just didn't think outside the box!

Charles isn't an omega level mutant, he's alpha level. While alpha level mutants are nothing to be trifled with, they're not in the same league as omega levels. Charles isn't the most powerful mutant, he's the most powerful telepath, important distinction. Storm, Jean, and Magneto are all omega level mutants above Charles in overall ability. It's just that the nature of Charle's abilities make him a hard counter for 2 out of those 3.

@@Ninja07Keaton he truly is though. As he proved time and time again. He literally bent magneto against his will and single handedly saved the world. And he can highjack all the mutants you mentioned minds and do the same, except Jean possessing the power of celestial being in the phoenix. Typical of Charles to also save magneto when he could have left him for dead in a vegetable state after reversing what he did on earth. Professor X is second to none in the mutant community.

Whenever I picture Magneto, I picture the man who's strong and powerful. Someone who's sure of what he's saying, a leader by all mater of the word. But seeing him in this scene, afraid and feeling so lost is a reminder that while he's got the will to lead there's a vulnerability to him.

This whole set piece is kinda weird. Shooting an orbiting object with missiles from Earth would never cause it to move towards Earth. They are acting like asteroids are like airplanes that need engines to stay up. Combine that with the fact that jubilee can suddenly breathe in space..... Makes me think the writers failed science class

The asteroid is in low orbit, kept in the Lagrange point (null pull between Earth and Moon) by Magneto's powers. Without him, the orbit starts to decay, so he had to go and fix it from time to time. The missiles knocked it out of said point, so Earth pulled it back. As for Jubilee breathing, yeah the air should be thin as hell, even with extensive training she would be in distress instead of acting normally. I'm guessing Sunspot's powers are what keeps it all up?
