I disagree about the casting. I just picked this up as my first baitcast reel and use it on the water only once. I had one bad backlash, and it was my fault because the lure hit the water as I was casting. for not having much experience I could launch my half ounce lure 100 feet smoothly. Would like a little more drag power though.

I want to know if anyone has had issues with a bow mount motor causing the transducer to not read correctly or get static from it. I had a kayak that the pedal drive had to be still to get rid of the static.

I'll bet that cheap kayak warped in the sun or sank on a lake. I saw one go under with a front mount motor. We dont use those on the west coast.

Hey Chris I love yer videos. Question: can a first timer successfully instal the yak power system? I don't have a kayak shop in montana. Have you experienced any issues with the connectors? Do you know if Garmin has the ability to interface with the system like Lowrance? Appreciate any knowledge!!

This is far from self explanatory. And there is no instructions. Ok this video helped turn it on AfTER I went out and bought more batteries but once it turns on so the numbers light up only once the entire system is installed? If not how do you light up the numbers?

What wheel cart do you use

Can you place the hinges where you want? Say make the lid open left to right instead of front to back.

I was wondering, do the screw holes go all the way through? Also, if you were to remove a screw is it noticeable where the screw was? I ask because I know there are other accessories coming out in the future and wondered how easy it would be to reconfigure things when the accessories come out.

First I'll settle on box orientation (longways, sideways in the gearwell), hinge location (end or side), latching (one or two), and TetherTube placement (I ordered two extra, total six), which determines handle placement. YakAttack sure gives us a lot of rigging options!

Its kind of yag to have the trolling motor up so high. Did you get the 54 inch shaft? If you get a nice fish on, you have to deal with that being in the way while youre fighting the fish.
