I have had mine for a few weeks love it. The only issue I had was the seat base was about an inch to narrow and would fall out of the tracks. They are supposed to be sending out an adjusted base and correcting future ones.

Joe Rob... the seat on mine appears to be about a 1/2 inch short. It doesn’t slip out, but should be longer, it also seems a bit tight to push down in the recesses, like the spacing is a little too narrow on the lower seat mount.

Frank Fields I actually found a pc of aluminum pipe in my shop that fit inside the seat base pipe and just extended it about a half inch. That fixed it. If you would contact ascend customer service and let them know about it as they are supposed to send me a new seat base.

I have the same issue. Took it out yesterday. They told me 60 days until they get a new base. How long did they tell you?

They always had problems with the seats on Ascend kayaks.. you'd think it would be fixed by now.

Its kind of yag to have the trolling motor up so high. Did you get the 54 inch shaft? If you get a nice fish on, you have to deal with that being in the way while youre fighting the fish.

Are you looking online? If so don’t. Cabela’s has it. They won’t ship store to store. And some that have it haven’t list it on their site so I would call. There was one site that had two but can’t remember where.

Chris Payne ... I am moving the head of the motor up beside the right rod holder, with the handle extending forward beside my leg. I will also add a kill switch before I finish. A few years ago I got launched over the front of my 18 ft bass boat while operating the trolling motor when the outboard motor hit a stump and stopped the boat unexpectedly, and luckily I didn’t get hurt, just wet.

Joe Rob Minn Kota in my mind is and has been the leader in trolling motors and the iPilot tech allows me to control the boat and anchor it from a remote.

Mine is 54" but a 45 would work fine. Could go shorter if needed but the longer shaft allows me the ability to deploy a little easier.

I have been throwing it on top of my Subaru legacy but it scratches paint sometimes but I bought the car for less than the kayak so I'm not concerned with cosmetic scratches. Kayak wheels would help this thing a lot

I just mounded a minn kota C2 endura 50lbs thrust on mine and works great. I mounted it by getting two L-brackets and screwing them in, and clamp the motor on the l-brackets with a 2x4 and works great. For now I just duct taped a broom handle and that I had laying around and it works fine. I plan on adding a less ghetto steering system later but for now it works great.

I want it to stay as light as possible but still be able to control it easy without spending 1,000+ $ if im beaching the yak in shallow lake water it needs to accommodate that need as well. I wouldnt like that tall motor in the front like that. It would be in my way. Why is it so tall? Ive aeen other brands that do the same thing and there just above the deck and dont habe that long arm.

The 133x has pre built mounts in it front and back. He probably just beached it front and was easier to get to.
