I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my mom in August to Breast cancer. We cared for her under hospice care in her home. Doctors said that the seizers will be really bad due to the cancer in her brain. We just prayed with her nonstop, we are 6 siblings, and we all took turns to take care of her, to read her the bible and sing worship music. when the seizers started, we all sang, and worshiped God and we can feel the Holy Spirit come to her body and take over and stop the seizers. My mom's last tears in her eyes were when she saw the light of the heavenly angels coming for her. she breathed her last breath speaking the words "I am ready Jesus" I have peace in my heart but i miss her terribly. God is a loving God.

Losing my mom this year has been one of the hardest things I have faced. I'm only getting through because of my love of Jesus and the hope He gives us. Darlene, thank you for this study & first weeks video! I am so sorry for your losses & for the most recent loss of your sister & your dog. I am encouraged by your insights & words about loss and how we can still find hope. The month of November is difficult for me as I lost both of my parents a year apart in this month. When I found your new study I was encouraged to take the time to immerse myself back in the word and prepare room for Jesus. Growing up we always had an advent wreath & candles on the dining table & my Mother made a point to teach us how to pray and ask for our hearts to prepare for the birth of Jesus. This year I bought a new advent cross & candles in memory of my parents and their faith and in memory of the beautiful tradition they instilled in me and my siblings. It gives me great hope that I will be reunited with them and all I have lost someday in heaven. Thank you for the vision of meeting someday on the porch to share tea and stories of how Christ has enriched our lives.

I’m reading the Bible chronologically and today’s reading was both Thessalonians. I love the verses you shared today on the hope in God’s promises, to be with Him and those who have gone before us. I'm so sorry for all of your losses! I, too, have had 5 miscarriages, and I have 4 living children. While each loss was difficult, I had to trust in God's sovereignty and His timing. And to look forward to meeting those children in heaven one day.

Thank you for this video! Thank you for allowing God to use you to speak into the hearts of many many women (like me!). I think I might be your twin 😂. Everything you described is how I feel too. I wish we didn’t allow Satan to attack us in this area…but it’s so hard. Body image is difficult. We are all beautiful women…inside & out …why do we find it so hard to see in ourselves? I pray for you…for me…and for every other person here who is our has struggled with their body image…to the point that they don’t want to leave the house! I struggle with poor self image from a child . Thank you for sharing . I personally think most all women struggle in this are if either to big or to thin. I was a chunky girl from what my parents would say to me . I am learning a healthy relationship weight and food .

This is one of the reasons why I don't share pictures of myself. I think I'm ugly and am not very photogenic. I've gotten better with accepting myself over the years, especially since coming to Christ. I still struggle at times with it, but I'm better than I was. I don't want these thoughts to consume me. My thoughts should be on things above and not these earthly cares that really don't mean anything when it comes to the Heavenly Kingdom. That's what has helped me be better with it, but I still sometimes find myself going back to those old thoughts. That's when I need to take those thoughts captive and bring them to the obedience of Christ. Replace them with what God thinks of me and not what man thinks of me. It's not easy, so I lean on Jesus. This has always been my battle for years my weight. I eat my emotions. I was adopted and have always felt like an outkast / loneliness / sadness. Been verbally, emotionally and physically abused by the persons who was soppose to be my parents. Because of my weight i have always been belittled. Its HARD & PAINFULL. I always have felt ugly.

Oh sweet girl….i know your struggle. That feeling of “less”. And I’ve voiced this and then people say “oh you’re so pretty” but that doesn’t always fix the feeling. It just makes me feel worse like I was begging for a kind word. But I am lately reminded that Gods opinion of me is all that really matters. And he knows my heart and how hard I try to do right. He even understands my weakness with food and loves me anyway. I know you know, that He loves you too, so much! I pray that we are all reminded about that when Satans lies overtake us ❤

Praying for Gods peace for you as you struggle with body image. 🙏💗As a senior female who was sexually abused as a child I've used weight to hide from being noticed. I know it's Satan's lies that have kept me from being everything the Lord Jesus Christ wants me to be. I'm trying to listen to what the Lord says about me and hold that in heart.

Remember that God created us with purpose and beauty, regardless of our physical appearance. I to have struggled with weight and being in public. I know how hard and hurtful it can be. 1 Samuel 16:7 says,"The LORD seeth not as man seeth;for man looketh on the outward appearance,but the LORD looketh on the heart" Praise the LORD that He loves us no matter what we look like!!! I cried with you while watching this. I will be praying for you sweet friend(or should I say spring chicken) I hope that put a smile on your face! You have a beautiful smile! Love from my heart 💕 to yours!
