Thank God, she knew to break the egg on a flat surface rather than the edge of the bowl. I cringe every time I see people break an egg on an edge of something because they are getting shells in their eggs - even if they don't see it.

This recipe seems easy enough. I think I would toast the almonds beforehand. Also, I might add just a little powdered sugar to stiffen the dough (to make it less sticky). Thankyou so much for this simple approach to a delicious treat!

Just found your channel. I, too, sell bread at our local Farmer's Market, but I only bake 5 loaves unless it is a holiday. I wanted to try blackberry bread and found your recipe. Great video.

Great looking gravy, but I'm just curious... why did you add water instead of broth? It would have given a lot more flavor.

You do not have to measure mashed potatoes for potato patties you just mix them up a little egg flour bread crumb onions cheese whatever you want in there make the Patty and fry it❤ my mom made these for years so I don't need a recipe when you get as old as I am you learn how to finagle the bagel when you're over 50😂

I lost my fig cake recipe and went online to find another. I’m trying this one because the measurements are easy to remember. Looks moist! As it should. Thanks for cutting into it and showing us. Ps. I don’t add pecans or walnuts to mine. I do, however, decorate the side with almonds over the top of a cream cheese frosting. Today is my husband’s birthday and this was his favorite cake. I lost him 100 weeks and 6 days ago the Lord took him. I lost him to hospital malpractice due to covid. I make this cake in his honor today. He would have been 56 years old today. January 8.
