The problem with doing it this way with MIDI is you are eating up 8 channels of MIDI. This method will work if all you are really using is just a few devices. Standard MIDI Channel 10 will usually allow you to use one channel of MIDI while using the actual notes as separate triggers. Most Drum machines will use Channel 10 as a polyphonic input so that your setup is easier.

I tried that approach, but I prefer this one so that I can treat each cell as a voice. Now, I can send specific CC and pitch info. I don't mind using 8 MIDI channels because I have a smaller setup, and the OXI supports three groups of MIDI. Haha, I have so many MIDI channels to spare. As you see the default setting for Multitrack you can set up with one MIDI channel. Use what works for you. Thanks for watching.

@@synthmaven I don't have that software but a quick glance at the manual looks like it is limited to only one MIDI channel. I could be wrong so double check if you can assign midi channels to each drum voice or not.

I am having issues with stuck notes. Sending a sequence from Vector Five12 the Blofeld just holds infinite sustain. Same sequence to another synth doesn't have this issue. Anyone else run into that? Thanks

I'll make a video about it soon! I get this question a lot. But try to lower the octave on the OXI to get the BBM pads to match the OXI tracks in multitrack mode.

The coral has a wav player too. It comes with a ton of drum samples or you can load your own.
