Performance was OK, but that arrangement was actually awful. Choir had no first person voice, the instrumentals had no bearing, no call and reply this arrangement was actually awful. Just a rendition of some words, no passion, no feeling, no nothing. If you came here for a rendition of the title track, find it elsewhere. This ain't it. Just to be clear, the choir did well, but it's hard when you have an absolutely shocking arrangement. Conductor could have used a little more timing too - I feel for the performers.

From a retired English cop, thank you. English heritage is seldom celebrated (even in England, where to do so attracts condemnation for being 'far right', unlike Scotch, Welsh and Irish nationalism). I'd love to see St. George's day parades in New York and across the USA.

When England fought in the Christian crusades the soldiers said they wanted Jerusalem for England the words of this song convey this thats where the st Georges cross flew in Jerusalem what is so sad is what is happening in Jerusalem now,as Jesus himself once said "Oh Jerusalem she so full of mercy"

Beautifully sung, but some of the phrasing wasn't quite right. Watch any video of the Proms where this is sung and you'll know what I mean.
