He kinda loses the beat and rhythm of the song, but his vocals are luxurious

I remember Mossmans in my local guitar shop back in the '70's, before the factory fire. Stunning instruments, unique sound. That said did not float my boat.. Preferred the sound and action of the Martins and even Guilds of that time. But the craftsmanship was undeniable.
@anthonybonnette13 күн бұрын
They do have a sound all their own, a bit woodier than a lot of Martins to my ear.
@rnslrzno2823 күн бұрын
what kind of strings?
@anthonybonnette13 күн бұрын
I play 13-56 medium strings, for years I played Elixir, but the last few sets I’ve run D’Addario XTs, I like them a lot.

If you have a blueridge you need medium strings and raise the action a bit to dig in on them. Oddly enough the Laminate version has a lot more volume
@anthonybonnette25 күн бұрын
Yessir I definitely prefer mediums.

I think that Marty has the best voice of any singer that I have ever heard that wasn't a big star. But I live in Hallsville and go to church with Marty and get to hear him and Neal every now and then.

I apprenticed with Bobby, and John Kinsey in 1993. My first job was busting up those Lone Star Steele casting forms. HUGE mahogany boards! After the first day, I went out to eat at Cantina Laredo in Dallas…I had to use two hands to hold a water glass because my forearms were so sore. Bobby tended to make really thin necks. The one I made myself was black walnut.
