Thank you for sharing your insecurities about your job! I’m just starting out in public at b4 later this year and my anxiety levels have really increased knowing that I have no experience outside of my past tax internships. I also feel like there’s a bit of a divide with my personality and the other interns I’ve met. I’m not much of a party person and prefer to be low key. I’m trying to remind myself to just be myself and be open to learning

Hi Stephie, I just wanted to tell you that I've been watching your videos since 2018 or 2019 after deciding that my then-current path wasn't for me. You inspired me to become an accountant, and I've since graduated, started studying for my CPA exam, and began work as an auditor for a mid-tier firm! Thank you so much for making the videos that you do. You've impacted my life greatly! 🥹

Missed you here on YT! & I appreciate you opening up about your struggle of being taken seriously (for appearing younger) -- it's a constant battle as a woman in the corporate world--between chasing the fountain of youth & trying to be taken seriously in the office!

I’ve missed y’all!!! And girl yessss!!! It’s a juggling act and staying authentic. All we can do is be ourselves and the right people will consider our actions/ decisions/ how we treat people vs something superficial like appearances!

All have done evil “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) The penalty for sin is hell (Revelation 21:8). Because of Gods love for us Jesus Christ came down from heaven to take the punishment for our sin on the cross in which he was spat on, beaten, mocked and laughed at. Christ died for the sins of the world and The third day God raised him from the dead (Praise God). This was done so that those who believe on Christ will not perish (hell) but have life everlasting (heaven); be justified by Gods grace through redemption in Christ (John 3:16) (Romans 3:24). The blood Jesus shed on the cross washes away our sin if we Believe in The Son of God and his finished work (ordained by God) on the cross. When this happens the believer receives the righteousness of Christ in place of their own unrighteousness (all sins are forgiven) and this makes them saved (going heaven) and they are born again as a Christian. (Romans 3:25-26.

Thanks for sharing information Just a quick question that If we do CPA from Texas or any other state in the USA then can it be globally accepted or it just limited to that particular state where we have been registered. Can we apply for job in other states too? Please do answer Thanks in advance.

I watched this video when I was in college. Now, I am a junior internal auditor. Something tells me that I am in the wrong work environment because I do not feel that my work is monotonous. It feels so unnecessarily complicated for a company that has been existing for two decades now.

Would you say that it’s possible to feel burnout regardless of whether you are in public audit or private industry? I’m struggling to make the next decision in my career, and I’m finding that it is really weighing me down. I started out almost 3 years in public, got my cpa, but just hit a wall with work and thought industry would be so much better. I have been in my current role for a big company for 10 months and really find that it is very repetitive and miss the excitement of public accounting, along with the feeling of importance (CPA’s being the key revenue generators in public accounting firms), the learning opportunities, and opportunities for mentoring/networking. I was at a regional firm with 55 hour busy season requirements and thinking of going back to my senior role.. but I’m just afraid to convince them to take me back and then have the same feelings I did the first time. I’ve learned that taking care of my physical and mental health is really important, and I feel like I have improved with that over the last year. I don’t expect an answer but just wanna say your videos a have helped me realize that there isn’t necessarily a yes/no answer and that’s ok.

I had a really rough day and considered a career change. I start full time at b4 later this year and am currently doing an internship. Trying to juggle studying for FAR and manage the internship was such a massive hurdle for me. I commend people who are able to aggressively knock these exams out as quickly as they can. Retaining the information is the most challenging part of the journey.

Why do accountants have such very low wages compared to other industries? I mean for the specialized knowledge and skills you have, you guys deserve more!!! Someone needs to advocate for the accountants. Obviously, the AICPA is a pet to the greedy firm owners/partners and Fortune 500 management of this country. SMH

Think about the typical corporate environment like Accenture, or Oracle. One of those companies is now literally doing monthly layoffs. They couldn't care less about how hard you worked over the years. I am an established consultant who has worked for corporate America on and off for 25 years and I am also a University Professor (Psychology and Business) so this is not antidotal advice. Your company will never pervasively even remotely put you first. You have to do that. There is little trust in corporations due to the corporate greed being at a high-point.

Im here for this. I need more of this content. The past year i moved from ia to corp accounting (not necessarily by choice). All i did was work. It was a bad year. Ive gained weight. Feel terrible etc. people act like pulling back is easy and its not. Especially not now when companies run so lean and the market for jobs is not as good. And everyone is outsourcing IA! I could use a whole series in this. Also thank u for pointing out burnout is real. And its not something a long weekend can cure.
