Geezas Old Musgrave Roadhouse road has changed since I worked / Lived that way for 18 years on a regular visit to help Rat out based in Cooktown onto Coen ,Archer River Roadhouse and then beyond. Won't be long until the whole road is sealed and then all the rubbish head up the Black top to ruin one of the final frontiers. So glad I seen the very best of the Cape before it was ruined by Bitumen to see it now would be very sad indeed. I'm not going back anytime soon soon to visit even though I have a lot of mates along that road. Its extremely sad, very sad. First time in Lakefield for any Southerner would scare a mum with kids as there have been a lot of people taken there throughout the Park over the years. Its beautiful country. Just remember you are being watched from the water before you even get near it. That goes for Salt OR Fresh in FNQ and especially in Lakefield.

I bet it is very different now, bit more bitument each year! We absolutely love it up there but they are taking a bit of the adventure away. After fishing around the penny and Weipa we were very aware of the crocs but lakefield was just another world, they grow them big there.

Lovely Ep and spot guys, My second home I spend 4 to 8 weeks there every year, Not Bushfires controlled burns, The TOs burn there country every year. I wish the silly NPs would do that on the sunny coast, You need a couple trips to Penny to work it out, I mainly reef fish at penny we catch great Fingerman and trout and sweetlip and Black spot tuskfish black Jew, I am not a Barra fisherman at all overrated IMO,
@reellittleadventurersАй бұрын
Oh wow so jealous you get to spend so much time there! We will definitely be back and at the right tide times as we wasted a lot of time sitting around d waiting for the tides. If we had marks offshore we would have gone out as it’s so glassy. And as you can see we are not Barra fisherman either!! 😘🤣

Good on you for giving it a go yourself, it turned out looking good. One suggestion would be to get a bilge pump into it... if it gets a bit rough and you take some water over the side or get caught in a storm that can make the difference between being a bit uncomfortable, and swimming home.
@reellittleadventurers2 ай бұрын
Yes definitely need one for safety! We did put one in, we may not have shown it in the video but it has a brand new one and a new outlet in the side on the starboard side at the back. The switch is wired into the control panel.

Wondering why you chose Not to drop the floor down all the way down.
@reellittleadventurers8 ай бұрын
Because we usually have the four of us in the boat we wanted storage under the floor to put things out of the way. Our tinny is also really stable when standing and moving about, having the floor higher doesn’t make too much difference to balance.

You spend all that time catching them but you not showing most important part the cooking and eating them because that's the reason why you catch them is to cook and eat them you spending 1-2 minutes maybe showing how to cook and eat them for me l like watching the catching the cooking and especially the eating because I get to see what im missing so the more you do of that more popular you'll become

@reellittleadventurers10 ай бұрын
Nah no crocs there and the water was so clear you’d see them if there was one that had made its way down that far. It was also wrong time of year to be worried about jellies on the west. Xmas holidays is when people usually get done, when the water has warmed up.

Hi there cool video, I'm currently looking around at a 270 for the GU I just picked up. Yeah the Bushwakka looks good and having that extra coverage up past the passenger window is definitely the go 👌 Haven't checked out other videos yet, how did it perform after the Cape trip?
@reellittleadventurers11 ай бұрын
Hey! Thanks for watching 😊 it held up so good up the Cape for three weeks straight. Definitely need that extra coverage up the front and the built in lights were used most nights to cook with. We had the swag under it if it was a cloudy/rainy night and it provided good protection from the rain. We recently used it at Fraser in 30knot wind and it held up so well, especially with the heavy duty brackets. Enjoy setting the big GU up!!

We use Happy Moments for bIt, they're oily and everything from Snapper to trevally will take a strip bait. I used to throw them back but pliers to hold the head and a knife long enough to keep your hands clear of the spines when whipping off the fillets.
