@Wildersport14 күн бұрын
Are you sending to Device in the upper right hand corner? Are you working through the printer dialogue boxes? I am finding this machine is VERY sensitive, at least mine is, to having the file size, and print size must be the exact same or I will get errors, misprints, or miscuts...

I wish I had the foresight to make a new video comparing the heaters I have used over the years. The Buddy heater has some nice safety features, but is hands down my least favorite. #1 Favorite is the Velit gasoline parking heater installed in my camper. #2. my Vevor 5KW diesel heater, stand alone in a box kind of rig. #3 is my Coleman 518, a pain to light, zero safety features or consideration but it kicks out heat reliably, #4 is not really a heater, but my Ozark Trail smokeless fire pit. Not usable indoors, but really nice for kicking around in camp... the stainless body lets heat radiate nice and even, and absolute last #5 is my Portable Buddy heater...

These things work well when they work and I personally consider them "safe" to use in a confined space but they can really be finicky. Especially when it's quite cold and you need it most. At times they simply defy logic. The Q tip idea is pretty popular for the pilot tube/orfice but it's risky. Lose some of the cotton down there and you have a bigger problem. A pipe cleaner is a better idea. In a confined "living" space some type of solvent may not be the best idea and unless it's oil causing the problem may not be needed. A little piece of debris blocking the flow is easily dislodged and without solvent. Make sure when you are done the pilot flame is all blue. Yellow/orange is an indication that it's producing some CO2. Blue is a nice clean burning pilot.

I should add that propane is "sensitive" to temperature especially below around 20°F depending on altitude. You can get it to work acceptably well at temperatures in the single digits and sometimes colder but expect "trouble". Mine has a high flow sensor and I suspect that really causes problems sometimes because of the properties of propane in the cold.

These are decent interim solutions as I would consider them. I've actually migrated over the years away from that particular unit. I have an all-in-one diesel heater that if given proper voltage of course seems to be more reliable than the Buddy eater ever was. Plus I can thermostatically control it. In my camper van I have a gasoline version of that heater installed and again thermostatically controlled. Plus the combustion intake, air and exhaust happens entirely outside of the heated space, so I'm not worried about carbon monoxide or low oxygen conditions. I would still use the Buddy heater to heat up a tent as those things tend to leak so much air that there's not much risk. Just make sure you don't have anything flammable near them.

What if I don’t even get that click or the pilot? I get no spark, I get gas, I can use a lighter to light it and it will stay on but pilot will not get it going.

I believe the igniter is a piezo electric. I have heard the control knob assembly on newer ones is prone to failure, that includes the ability to run the igniter. What does Mr. Heater say about what yours is doing? My original video was based on Mr. Heater University information when I had one. I am sure they have updated the troubleshooting guides since then... www.mrheater.com/mhuniversity/buddy Good luck and please let me know if they have a solution!

I like titebond 3 on everything. A little longer open time. If you keep the scroll saw centered/ balanced on the platform and same for sander it should be fine. I worked for an industrial maintenance company in the early 80’s. We fabricated a lot of stuff. Happy woodworking!!!
@Wildersport29 күн бұрын
I always worry about TB3 having too long of an open time. The scroll saw / sander flip nicely. I need to rework the one for the Jointer / Planer because I upgraded to a 10" benchtop planer and it won't fit!

My pilot light comes on strong and stays on as long as you hold the knob. Once you let go of the knob it immediately turns off and the light goes out. I've cleaned it thoroughly with a q-tip but still nothing. Any ideas what my issue might be?
@Wildersport29 күн бұрын
Check Mr. Heater Univeristy for more info on that. www.mrheater.com/mhuniversity/buddy I have heard more recent variants of these heaters have an issue of the control knob failing. I kind of gave up on the Buddy heater a few years ago when I discovered Chinese Diesel Heaters....

My many apologies for responding so late. I thought I had already responded to this so apparently I didn't click send or whatever. But thank you so much. Eddie has been gone for a while now and unfortunately since then well we've lost quite a few more including my lovely wife, but even through the hard times God is good. We don't always understand his purposes, but I can at least trust that he knows and is directing everything towards his eventual goal.

Great video thank you! Sidenote, after putting it together after watching this video, I recognize his comment about the other reviewer saying the screws were loose and that his tool broke. I believe you are better off using the tool to hold the nut and tighten it with a flathead just my two cents after building it and making the same mistake.

You should direct your camera on the area of your work. There is no point to film your desk while you are working away of it. Also, white wire is the neutral one. Black wire is hot. The neutral wire (white) should be connected to the wider prong, which is the silver connector.

Standard United States 3/4 inch garden hose thread. If this is sold outside of the United States the thread may be different on the model depending on the market it's in.
