Just wanted to stop by and thank you for making you this video, I was part apart of the Hobo team and helped during the early stages of the series. Bashur, Reymas & I were very close friends before we made this happen. The guards were heavily inspired by the ones in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, I still remember our conversation on Ventrila about that. This is a well-narrated documentary about the series, well done! Bashur will be missed.

To add some additional context (from an account I haven't used in years) - during this time, my family (running Cole2's World) was in serious hot water in multiple ways, living out of a friend's house and my dad was trying desperately to make any amount of money based on the (very mild, but exaggerated by Minecon) success of the servers I had been running. He hijacked the project and made multiple hamfisted attempts at making money which didn't pan out - most of which are now against the Minecraft EULA. I was never included in these discussions, but I remember only a few days after Minecon being told that we were terminating our relationships with Minecraft Mondays and Bashurverse. It was very confusing at the time. He nailed the major sponsorship at Minecon in an attempt to get notoriety and get anyone to buy the paid ranks he had introduced - Minecraft Forum had this thing going with diamonds you got at the booths, and you were forced to register for our forum in order to get our diamond, and if you got all the diamonds... something happened. I don't remember the full details. As a result this inflated our membership numbers by thousands, which again went nowhere. We kinda floundered trying to reinvent the server network for a few years, once my dad had found a job and income again, but it never went anywhere and it was dead by 2014, as we moved on to other projects. It's funny, stuff that's now super commonplace on server networks (custom items, custom chest GUIs, purpose-built client mods, etc) were all things we were experimenting with during this reinvention, years before others I knew of did it, but we just never got out of development hell. I believe the 2011 bankruptcy filing was legitimate, rather than an attempt to steal money from people, but the blast radius was pretty bad. When the "In Association with Cole2's World" banners started to appear in the Legend of Hobo episodes, I was running their filming and building servers for them for free - and in general running all this was expensive. You couldn't just get a cheap dedicated server in 2011 like you can now, as all the surplus hardware that you can now get for cheap was current in 2011. (But of course your kid spending every waking hour monitoring Minecraft servers is free.) I can't remember the full details of Minecon for... multiple reasons, but it was kind of a disaster, to say the least. I only heard Bashurverse's side of the story years after the fact. It's funny to have your family go through bankruptcy and the only reason you hear about it is someone writing an exposé on your dead server network years later. I remember someone in some comments section of a post critical of us saying that Cole2's World was just "a rich dad taking his kid on a power trip". Other than the "rich" part, pretty spot on for this era. One of the perks of that sponsor level was a "dinner with Notch", which of course I thought was the coolest thing ever at the time. I spent all my time at Minecon cooped up in the server area for that multiplayer event sponsored by Alienware, never went to see any booths or anything. Something of a ramble, sorry. What started as just a humble server project in Alpha turned into this flaming disaster. Some people who had been around before this Minecon death spiral still remember it fondly, at least...

I'm not sure if you'll see this or if you know how to solve this problem, but when a sound plays it seems to pause the animation for a moment before continuing and skipping the frame the audio was set to play at.
