Cats against a 4 plus metres python does work. Wondering about effective methods of getting them out of the coup. Tried a rake but didn't work, poked sticks with door open to make it leave, but what's really effective???

Hi. My bearded dragon is about 4 weeks old and he refuses to eat fruit and lettuce. He is only interested in crickets and now and then meal worms... Do you have any advice on getting him to eat fruit?
@ColdBloodCreations3 күн бұрын
He should be eating vegetables, and not so much fruit. Some people have dad luck with our salad toppers, or bee pollen. Both of them are available on our site. It is important to get them eating veggies, because an all protein diet is not ideal for them...

There’s so much debate on things with bearded dragons that it’s hard to know what to believe. I’ve seen many people point out that it’s good to allow access to water with a water bowl Humidity isn’t that big of an issue in a 40 gallon tank in your average not tropical location
@Ameeno956 күн бұрын
What’s the ideal humidity level for them ?
@ColdBloodCreations5 күн бұрын
Depending on how much airflow you have. More airflow and they can handle higher humidity up to 90%. But in a tank style cage with limited airflow, I'd stay down around 30-50%

I got my dragon last October. She is female and 9 months old. I picked because she was the smallest, very scrawny and lost some of her tail. She was housed with other dragons at the petshop. After a couple of weeks of her being at home, she is now thriving and bright orange! Such a beautiful colour. Her tail has also grown back! So happy I saved her.

I had a female beardie years ago. Loved her. I live in south Louisiana and would take her with me outside or to other places for extended amounts of time and she never had any respiratory issues or any problems at all. Only thing she had was egg bound problems like you mentioned. Depends on the dragon I guess? I'd like to get another someday or maybe an iguana, but I'm worried an iguana will be too much for me. I know they can be feisty and require much larger enclosures and a lot more work handling.

Absolute excellent advice. Educate yourself first! Find a mentor regardless of species, pick a species of animal you want, get the tools, set up habitat, then purchase from a reputable supplier/breeder. Be on your A game, use your tools. Herpetology especially venomous species is a hobby to enjoy, educate yourself, others and to preserve species. Free handling is not recommended but is sometimes necessary, have a buddy present if you have to do so. Have a bite protocol in case of envenomation. Be safe!
