Shreematiji se nahi India me pickup gaadi kabhi nahi bikegi ... Bilkul kabhi bhi nahi ... Ladies see it as delivery vehicle. They don't want to step inside any pickup truck. In fact they would pester their husbands to get rid of it in case he buys it.

From where I know it's not much of difference, But Mahindra offers more torque for lower RPMs, While others offer raw rpm and inertial torque. This does suffer in lower mileage.

Lack of Awareness is biggest Factor why Pickups are lacking in Sales...These Pickups are not for City People..They are Made for people who lives in Villages or have some sort of business...I have crusher,timber business nd i have also combine harvester so in these types of works pickup is the best option... In 2017-18 ,i Had Fortuner only... Whenever I have to transport anything bigger i have to keep a camper with me...Due to our businesses,we had to rent a Bolero Camper on monthly basis which was around 35-40k per month..In harvesting season or when fields were free to cut down the Timber we had to rent 2 bolero campers for 70-80k...Plus we have to travel in our Separate Car along with those Campers..So if have to bring anything we have to use 2 Cars So we decided to buy a Pickup ,nd the Only option in Lifestyle Pickup was V cross...We bought V cross in 2019 nd genuinely it fulfilled our all needs...Than Hilux launched so we bought Hilux also...Those 2 pickups are better for us Bcs their EMIs are less than Renting out the Campers... Nd we can use them anywhere... Those who are Aware only they are buying these pickups...We also faced that wording that why u spend so much money on dala trucks,they are not family Cars etc etc but in Reality Pickups are best family Cars for villagers nd business owners

If Pick-up had indeed gained popularity in India, Tata would have already converted their 407 series into a pick up and it would have been as much a rage as F-150. And i have not even included what their Xenon would have become. Mahindra would have brought next gen Scorpio pick up into the N series, Bolero Camper, their Military grade Axe etc.

Mahindra should relaunch Scorpio pickup, bolero pickup is too basic and ugly

मेरे ख्याल में आप भारत में पिकप गाड़ी का इतिहास बताते समय थोड़ी गलती कर गए है ,,भारत में 1958 में बजाज टेम्पो कंपनी जिसका नाम अब फोर्स मोटर हो गया है उसका मॉडल Hanseat का पिकप वर्जन भारत में उपलब्ध था ,, हालांकि ये पिकप थ्री व्हीलर था पर ये पिकप ही था , 1984 की फिल्म ' मशाल ' में अनिल कपूर और उसके साथी उसी पिकप में घूमते हुए ,गाना गाते और वहीदा रहमान को पिकप पर अस्पताल पहुंचाते हुए दिखते है !
