Long Nose aren't any safer they're equally unsafe. More prone to engine explosion or parts in the bonnet from intruding the cabin in the same crash where a cab over's front cabin would squeeze, they have poorer visibility, & long bonnet in the front would have more chances to get hit as it's longer.

Long Nose are only known to be comfortable due to American versions called semi trucks having the infrastructure like a mini house & lots of expensive goodies inside it, not for long nose reasons. And this comfort isn't applicable for Indian long nose, so it doesn't matter.

@@johndavidson3424 yes it isnt true and not applicable to the tata's engine in front of cabin truck, but in most of world, with a similar engine people prefer the engine in front of cabin version of the truck. Between isuzu npr and chevrolet express based trucks with same engine type, the chevrolet sells more than Isuzu cab over with better visibility.

I like Cabin over trucks than the long nosed ones. Cabin Over trucks have enough space behind the driver's seat for the co-driver to rest etc. In short they are more comfortable than the short Cabin long nose trucks.

Bangladesh also imported those trucks. Most of the trucks in our country were them. After the cease production in Indian those trucks are no more in Bangladesh too. Miss those.

We have travelled in Tata yellow, orange long nose ones in 90's to naani's place if we reached before 5 am at the junction point because state transport buses used to usually start at 6 am. The truck uncles knew my mom's family and they used to drop us safely just like our other Mama.. Humanity filled with Brotherhood sense days were they... Now mostly commercial things seen.. Humanity is there but lesser as 2-3 decades before
