Die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel sind in Deutschland ziemlich schlecht. Sie haben sehr oft Verspätung und sind nicht sehr sauber.

Lol ich als deutsche hab gerade herausgefunden das " tschau " anscheinend normalerweise ciao geschrieben wird ... 😂 nun ja ... irgendwie hab ich das gefühl das ciao eigentlich heute niemand mehr schreibt sondern immer nur tschau ... nicht mal die lehrer sagen einem das, oder bin ich einfach nur dämlich 😅

Wow, ich bin ja sehr überrascht, wie du kannst passende Wörter so schnell finden und ziemlich lange Sätze bilden. Ich lerne auch Deutsch seit September und jetzt vorbereite ich für die Prüfung im Januar. Ich hoffe, die Niveau B2 zu erreichen und in der Studienkolleg zu gehen. Auch A-Levels, ich habe gedacht dass die Schule in Großbritannien 13 Jahre dauert, und du sagst, es war zwischen deine 16 und 18 Jahre? Man anfangt die Schule in Großbritannien wenn man 5 Jahre alt ist? Es ist sehr interessant für mich, wie das Schulsystem in anderen Städten ist. Ich hoffe, ich klinge nicht unhöflich, ich entschuldige mich wenn ja. Danke für deine Video!

Nur als Tipp ... wenn Du das R nicht über die Zunge, sondern über den Rachen/Kehlkopf (Throat) rollst oder betonst, hört man nicht mehr, dass Du einen Akzent hast. :-)

Ich bin beeindruckt. Bei der ersten Fremdsprache hast Du Dir von allen Sprachen Deutsch ausgesucht - und richtig gut gelernt. Es gibt definitiv Sprachen, die einfacher zu lernen sind. Und wegen unseres guten Wetters hast Du Deutsch gelernt. Das hört man ziemlich selten. 😂😂😂😂😂

I watched this video a couple years ago and was only reading the subtitles. Now I can understand what you’re saying or read the subtitles and think in my head what I would say in German and it’s mostly the same as what you say. It’s hard to feel proud of my own progress because it has been so slow over years but it’s finally at a tipping point where I feel that I can do something with this language now. I went to school up to B1.1 and hope to continue again when I have time. Thanks for this video.

If anyone could give me some guidance it would be greatly appreciated. I've so far been using Duolingo and listening to german music but I don't feel like Duolingo touches on the deeper aspects of german. I can't really afford german lessons with college and I just deeply want to learn this language the right way so im not talking like a robot

Im not confident enough to comment in german, but the fact that i was able to follow the story (while multitasking!) gives me so much hope. I took 3 years of german in high school in the US, which isnt exactly known for teaching foreign language effectively. The content was very limited, but i did have the privilege of being taught by a native speaker. I tried maintaining and improving it on Duolingo for awhile and got close to maybe B1, but i haven't touched german in over 5 years since there isn't really any german speaking community here. I just got back on Duolingo to get started again (i know its not sufficient, but im in school full time and working part time), and im genuinely motivated to move forward. Not feeling any pressure to learn is surprisingly helpful. Thank you for sharing your story!

That’s was very interesting, l have just came back from a trip to Berlin and l was embarrassed at my lack of German. I was stationed in Spandau in 1979. When l went to the market the police were there doing a community event. I asked if any could speak English and not one of them could or would not speak English . I exclaimed was Kiev English sprechen , he just shrugged his shoulders, this is the reason that l am determined to learn some German for when l go back.

I'll be 37 years old tomorrow, my native language is Arabic, I speak English and French ( C1 level or above) and now I am starting my journey with German language ( already finished A1 and on October 14th I am starting A2 )... So far, the journey wasn't that hard to be honest, but I felt frustrated or bored sometime . But I am not ready to give up yet... Wish you all the best of luck <3

Came across this video today, expected to find a brief explanation of your background and learning story, followed by a much lengthier part explaining your german learning routine. I think I've found something of far greater value, you have motivated me, much like you intended, and that, we could say far outvalues its weight in gold. I started learning german 1 month ago, and planning on moving to germany in 5 months, hopefully with A2+, to be on track for C1 by the end of 2025. Thank you for giving me hope, I understand your current level was not achieved in 6months, but given your context, getting B1 is still remarkable and inspiring.
