I think the book is light, read it, didn’t really understand why they released it other than just random shit he jotted down. I think Frances is a hypocrite though, her and Courtney still make money off of it regardless so why complain about it?

It really doesn't matter how good a guitar player is in order to replace Richie. Richie's VOICE and writing co-writing is most missed and it's clear to see and hear that Bon Jovi has lost a tremendous amount of the magic that was Bon Jovi (the band).

I love Bon Jovi with all my heart BUT as far as Bon Jovi goes, I really can't listen to anything the band's recorded since Richie left. It's just not the same: the songwriting, the guitar playing, the backup vocals. The magic left with him, as far as I'm concerned.

*Kurt had people in mass turning to him for answers that would explain their lives for them in a meaningful way but the reality was he was just some guy who made a lot of money for making music and now knowing "well, now I must move onto the next thing" and he didn't have a clue what that would be.* Meanwhile, nobody wants you to leave and leave them behind. They never want you to leave the spotlight or stop sharing brilliant words of wisdom and knowledge. *People desperately rely on the life of an idol to give their life meaning and explanation, but it's all just make believe when the rubber meets the road.* We're in a time where a lot of really famous people who in previous generations certainly would have died that in fact turn their path away from the edge of the cliff permanently and typically it's almost always an explanation to the effect of, "I just didn't know who I was" to which I say, *welcome to life for every human on Earth during their 20's.* We also know now more than ever that celebrities are not qualified and competent leaders. The very people accusing everyone of racism, sexism, nationalism and beyond are in fact the worst violators of those things and ultimately, what makes them so dangerous is they believe their own lies and they have the resources to tell those lies to hundreds of millions of people.

Kurt was the first born, virginal sacrificial avatar representing the results of the moral drifting of the free love/drug culture of the 60’s, the chickens coming home to roost, his death marked the beginning of the demise of western civilization and of existential brokenness and of the American dream. Generation X. - post modern but more relevantly, post Christian.

@ Kurt was the beginning of the end of dominant American culture. Divorce becoming common, drug addiction, suicide. He was the first casualty of American culture crumbling. I think ultimately this is because Americans started rejecting en mass the Christian worldview, or at least what is considered traditional morality. His parents didn’t go to church, they got divorced and according to Kurt it destroyed him, etc. - he became a symbol of this, THE symbol of this, in his life and death. - it’s not that complicated.

Truth be said that there are hundreds of people who took their own lives that year, some on that day, who we will never know about or be remembered, even by their own relatives. This is how you live forever - in people's thoughts. Everyone wants to be remembered when they're gone.
@sempercompellis2 күн бұрын
people need to remember we know A LOT more about Cobain's death than we did in the days after it happened (the lyrics were finished about a week later at the atlanta show)-- I don't think Eddie would have had first hand knowledge of the scene and there being a cigar box next to Cobain's body. That being the only substantive clue doesn't hold and can be thrown out- the rest is very loosely connected and could be about anything

*What's truly twisted is what the naive public is willfully brainwashed into believing by consuming media into your brain with your eyes, ears and sense of touch.* You people honestly and truly believe anything from trusting complete and total strangers that are selling you a product for profit, media. *Meanwhile, media technology only has one function and that is installing information into the mind of the consumer.* I know some of the most famous A-listers on Earth and most everything about them is scripted fiction. *They're not even vaguely who you believe they are.* Media technology is ultimately just a sophisticated chemical process and drug consumed by your eyes, ears and sense of touch. It's the worst addiction possible and it plagues 99% of the global population. *Being that I'm a deep Hollywood insider and oddly enough, an electronics engineer, I stopped watching broadcast television 15 years ago.*

he was living on the street from 15-17, as a parent how can you be okay w not knowing where and what exactly your son is doing ? especially in a time where smart phones didnt exist and you could just call up your kids on their personal phone or track where they were, his parent saw he was troubled and instead of trying to help instead they just let him wander the streets
@paulmcgrath6118Күн бұрын
@@dadpuncherr761 wandering the streets ? You make it sound as though he was homeless ( which is claimed to be but that was lies ). My daughter is ten and she’s outside playing on the steer now with all the other neighbourhood kids so I’m not sure what your point is . And they did try to help Kurt , they even took him counselling , his father took an active interest in his school work and in sports . Kurt was just extremely bitter his parents got divorced and he didn’t like their new partners
@dadpuncherr761Күн бұрын
@@paulmcgrath6118 firstly yes kurt was homeless we have multiple ppl saying he was who knew him personally prove he was (he slept on dale crovers porch and stayed w a teacher for a bit) and you stating you know where your daughter is proves my point, you know exactly where she is and exactly what she is doing, don nor wendy didnt. and if you ever had to deal w your parents split you’d know meeting their new partner is extremly difficult, as a child your mother and father are your world, seeing that broken apart and start a new is something that profoundly affects a child, what you thought was right your being told is wrong and, now i can agree that they did try to help, but after a period they just gave up on him, trust me theres a difference between when a child is lashing out and when a child is being given up on, your view on the world becomes very tainted as well as your perception of love and connection w other humans and how you maintains relationships

In heavier than heaven it‘s described that Kurt made Don state to not remarry again. He wanted Don and Wendy to reconcile, which was impossible for Wendy didn’t want to (she was in a new marriage with a violent and abusive man. It‘s possible that Kurt‘s songs about macho men is about his step dad). Kurt wasn‘t abandoned by Don and Jenny at all, they gave him even more attention. Kurt was a very demanding child (possibly undiagnosed ADHD). His lyrics in STS are more of a revenge for Don’s remarriage, and sharing his attention with the other children. I truly believe Don had good intentions. Don appears to be just an average person with a good heart. He seeked a better paying job, tried to involve Kurt in his hobbies (Baseball, Basketball), got a bigger house. But Wendy didn’t love Don and was looking for a husband with more income.
