When you're adding the honey in there can you substitute pineapple instead of honey

@@ernieramirez1160 of course! Pineapple juice, crushed pineapple’s etc. it is sweet so like the honey can burn when pan frying. So baking or air frying is also recommended. Bake with foil on 350f for 25-30 min then foil off to brown 10-15min

Oh that was me two years ago. I tried recipe but wanted a more haupia like filling. I'll keep experimenting until I get it right. Love your recipes.

simple and quick recipe: that' s good. If cooking with fresh green beans, I'm thinking of adding the greenbeans before adding the slurry for doneness or after the slurry for crispyness.

Honestly great 😊 but exspensive, almost $30 for 5 oz. But Kona and ka’u coffee from the Big island has the best flavor in my opinion.

@@gilbertluiz356 oh nice! You’ll definitely wanna check out big island candies. Located near the Hilo airport. They give free samples as you walk in, also free coffee samples. You can also ask to try any goodies they sell in there store. It’s a great experience 👍🏼

I wonder what happened to Yick Lung brand and all the little seed shops that were run by grandmothers. Rochelle's grandmother had a seed shop on Waipahu St where one could buy several different seeds for a dime.

I didn’t see that brand in a while, our crack seed shop in Hilo “Kawates seed shop” closed about 5 yrs ago, same one my mom useto walk to when she was younger. Gata cherish those mom and pop shops. We do have one called “5 spice” but not the same. Nothing like the smell of a old sku crack seed shop 🥹🤙🏼
