Just an idea... do you have the child locks on maybe? That would explain why you can't open the doors from the inside, maybe? I sympathise, camping in Dorset 4 years ago, I locked my car keys in the boot of my car. It's a cabriolet peugeot so no chance of accessing the boot through back seats or anything and no one could help. Rang rescue but they said the only thing they could do would be the force the lock because of coded keys etc.... my only saviour was a friend who had spare keys to my flat near Heathrow, to go to it, retrieve my spare car keys and then drive those all the way to me in Dorset. She kindly did so, and go home herself just before midnight. Now when I drive away anywhere I try to remember to take my spare car keys with me. 😬

Looks like the deadlocks engage when you lock the car. Google Skoda Citigo safe lock. My Skoda did the same thing to me!

It could be a function on your keys. Example: Hold the open and close buttons down to change how the keys operate. Check out the manual. 👍

Deadlocking, entirely intentional to stop people breaking the window to open the doors. On most German cars a double push on the lock will deactivate this, on Ford’s it’s the other way round.

I tie my car keys on a bootlace around my neck when running and car camping ❤
