What was the last time you replaced spark plugs in your Skoda? Asking as starting in the morning wasn't instant as it should be. Just ordered them for my VW up. Keep it real😊

Is the candle enough as a heat source, or is it just for setting the mood? :) for many years now I've been dreaming about doing something like you do. I might even sell my Citroen C5 Break mk1 (estate car/station wagon) and buy a much smaller Fiat Panda 4x4 just to camp in it. There's such a benefit with the (very) small size, 4x4, low mileage and cheap overall cost. Anyway, one idea for heating I'd like to try is a sealed sand battery with a candle as the heat source and a stove fan on top. I imagine it would work fine in such a small space, and at least to take the edge off in the middle of winter. Fingers crossed it would be sufficient enough for the winters here in my homeland Sweden though. I doubt just one such sand battery would work in -25C, but maybe two? I'm not so sure, but it would be a fun experiment. 😁

Your uniqueness is a breath of fresh air bud. Always enjoy your interaction with the kitty cats. Anyone who has time for animals is pure in soul & spirit. The feelings you are experiencing are felt by many, myself included. I am 53 years old & have always struggled with mental health. It's something that many can deal with, and many cannot. Personally, my beautiful cats give my life meaning, despite many of them having now crossed the rainbow bridge. Anyway chap, great to have you back vlogging regularly. You are a very sincere & honest individual. And that is a rare trait nowadays. Peace, love & light brother 🙏👊

As a younger retired person, I too struggle with balance. Endless time is wonderful but being either too busy or too unscheduled are both not good. Your path forward will present itself if you remain open to it. In the meantime, I totally enjoy your travels and toy with the idea of giving this type of travel experience a try.

Thinking is man/womans worst enemy. "I should be doing this or doing that". "If only i had this or that I'd be happy". Then if you have X,Y,Z you start to think "well would that thing make me happier" lol. Trying to be present in the moment as much as possible is key i think. I think most people's suffering stems from either regretting the past or yearning for the past or being anxious about the future. What will be, will be, regardless of whether you worry about it. Anyway just my thoughts.

An awful lot of the service stations in France on motorways and major routes seem to have showers. Often times if you look scruffy enough they will assume you're a lorry driver and let them use them for free or if you buy something. The Total stations tend to be best.
@georgeton49913 күн бұрын
France motorway showers they should be free.

You asked if you should be doing something else. You seem not to be shackled which is a rare privilege. You have attributes (bright, educated, personable) that most people don’t. Certainly you will reach the point where you will want to do something additional, small steps to balance.

Nice. Two questions: 1. How did you manage to zoom in on the candle? (Nice sound in that clip.) 2. Is there any particular reason you park with front inwards?
@mortdog3 күн бұрын
Window covers are at the back so it's normally more stealthy to park front in. It wasn't a zoom per se, it was done in premiere pro (scale > key frame)

I've said before Morts i do like the way you travel, its slow, simple, low cost and it gives you the freedom to change your plans as you go. Next year I'd like to try a similar type trip along the coast of France in my car. But as my car is a small mpv I'd take my road bike so i can do cycle rides in nice areas and cycle in to busy towns.
