Great video Dan! I've been needing to make a rudder for my Pelican Bass Raider 10e and have wanted to find a junk trolling motor for the mount. Awesome to see there's a rudder attachment for cheap on Amazon, I'll definitely be looking at getting one! 🤘

No problem! Thanks for watching. Awesome little build. That specific rudder attachment usually has a coupon you can clip on Amazon to get it even cheaper. I think I picked it up for $18 ish

I noticed that hub came with a rubber oil seal. Where did you place that on the hub?

Black rubber gasket looking thing that has a spring in it
@dalf121dave
@dalf121dave 13 күн бұрын
Or is that black seal with the spring what you would use instead of a washer? I installed the hub, my old washer, the castle nut, and my cotter pin and then there is a black washer with a spring left over. Would that go in place of the washer if you didn’t have a washer?

Not sure what piece you’re talking about man. I filmed my entire install and showed it here and this was over a year ago. If you have extra pieces you’re not sure about you may want to consult a mechanic. Good luck with your install

Nice work. Next time put a finish nail or little bigger on each end on the center. Now set nails on a saw horse to suspend the bunks in mid air and you can paint all 4 sides at once without touching. On my tracker I just used plain treated 2x4s and the bunk glides. No issues 4 years later. No paint no carpet. Also you want an 1in so of the bunk past transom to support it. Whoever before me on mine didn’t and now I have a couple of dents where they stopped short. BT Pro17 with 40hp.

An air pump with multiple outlets doesn't pump more air. The pump diaphragm pumps the same amount of air, split in half between the two outlets. Multiple outlets are for using one pump in multiple containers. Once head pressure is accounted for, your pump supplies less air than the same size pump with one outlet would.
