Just received my first jar of Tarrago cream polish, with more jars on the way. I purchased a jar of Beige cream polish to put over a mid brown colored brogue leather dress boot. I wanted to lighten the patina a bit to sort of lighten the color of the shoe. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but the boot is not taking the cream polish very well. It has a rough look to it, and even an hour later I can take a wet cloth and wipe off most of the polish. I cleaned the boots first with Reno Mat, and the used a Saphir conditioner to hydrate the leather and get it ready for the Tarrago Cream Polish in Beige. But man,....this does not look good. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? Thank you.
