Woooooow, and now, Bishop Brooks has just passed away just 6 months later. God rest his soul. We must set aside our differences and work together. 🌹

Commissioned is my ALL TIME group! I have my Commissioned Playlist bumping till this day! I used to work gospel concerts in my younger years and had the privilege of attending dinner after a concert with these brothers. Let me tell you, I have never seen such humble, talented and down to earth brothers who were Elite artists in the industry at that time. They changed my life and I will be forever grateful for the impact of their ministry!! Blessed.

@1:23.33 Brooks - "One of the greatest things you should be able to appreciate about Commissioned is that nobody has left this earth" Unfortunately that can no longer be said 😥😥😥😥 He really hope that this gives Commissioned as a collective some perspective. Michael Brooks you were an unbelievable musician, song writer, producer and minister May you R.I.P 🙏🙏🙏

Just seeing this March 4th. Shout out to you for covering this show of disrespect and attempt to quiet what's really going on between the sexes. One side is trying to be heard. The other was trying to squash the needed conversation. KS was a trumpet of reality and celebrate all they want, his work is still very much alive.

Sounds like they all knew each other and hung out at different times with each other and that's why there's a discrepancy in when the group started

Fred always comes off like he did everything, is the smartest, most talented. I can understand why they may have clashed with that. Someone has to own the name to protect the brand. If fred left, why should he own part of the name?

So many thoughts. 1. In business be as men. 2. As a kid I hated that Brooks & Staten left the group but Number 7 & Matters Of The Heart was phenomenal!!! However when you notice Garrett wasn't on the cover on the album he sang leads and definitely added flavor to it points to somethings not being quite right. I got somewhat of a revisionist history of Conmisioned listening to Jones & Reid on R&B money podcast, it was slightly embarrassing. The music will tell you who did what. And who continued to do what. I have a deep and abiding respect for these guys. Something is clearly askew. Get it all the way right fellas w/ Fred & all the members B4 it's too late. I loved Brooks saying it's hard to have fans when the music is about Jesus.

Listennn, COMMISSIONED was the X-Factor in the gospel industry. My unsaved CUSSING loved ones faithfully listened to Commissioned. A D.J. played “This So Sweet” in the club and couples slow-dragged (dance) to the song. The Winans made sinners pique in the church and COMMISSIONED pushed their butts inside the church.

@silvermann65154 ай бұрын
They are Commissioned because they have been putting in the work since 1984. They are not the add-ons that came later. They are the ORIGINAL COMMISSIONED. There wouldn’t be a Commissioned without Bishop Brooks, Pastor Reid, Pastor Mitchell Jones, and Michael Williams…🤨😑🤫🤫

If they are stating all played a significant part in the group, then the original six should own the name especially if Fred thought of the name and the others co-signed.

If everyone was the eye, who would hear? If everyone was the ear, who would see? etc… You’re all talented brothers. I hope you can see the message in this. Commissioned achieved what it did because of all of you. However, the self sabotage was when you got rid of the eyes. Fred Hammond is a key component of what the group was, not what it is today: a beautiful vehicle that is supposed to lead masses of people to Christ but, y’all done got rid of the engine. I’m so embarrassed for you guys. EVERYONE SEES WHAT THIS IS.
@silvermann65154 ай бұрын
Sometimes the engine needs to be overhauled. The “vision “ can get dim and blurry. With that said, it’s not a one sided situation. No need to sensationalize ONE side as the culprits. There is only ONE culprit and we all know what his name is. Everything did/does not hang upon one person. There were/are 7 other individuals who helped shape, develop and contribute to sound that is Commissioned. I suggest my brother that you watch the video again. There are some gaps and holes from the other side story in what was told. In this video, I was given answers to a lot of questions that I have been thinking and asking myself over the years of who did what in the group, In terms of arranging the songs. Who played what role in the sound of commissioned.THIS Video answered ALL Of my questions. The other side was vague and ambiguous in their presentation. It was a lot of throwing off and throwing shade from the other people that were giving their “views “ Of the situation. Pastor Staten Was the only one who had neutrality concerning the situation. He was gracious and kind. The other two… Mehhhhh… Not so much. Leadership takes more than just bullying people. It takes confidence to realize that it’s more than about you. You have the confidence to recognize and appreciate those that are around you. You recognize that when they shine, you will shine as well.

Commissioned is my favorite group, so I love hearing these guys talk. But the interviewer’s interruptions were super annoying and distracting. Doesn’t make much sense to invite people to speak and then prevent them from doing so
@ManifestedSonofTheMostHigh236 ай бұрын
Yes, and all of the cackling was really distracting. I really wanted to hear a more serious toned interview. I'm midway through, so maybe it did take that turn on the later half. I will keep listening to see what happens. I absolutely agree with what you said. That's a mistake a lot of interviewers make. They become very loose and unstructured, and they get comfortable to the point where it loses its professionalism. When this happens they begin to take over the interview and not allow their guests to really fully speak or answer the questions without interruptions. Thank you for pointing that out.
