Hi! I am writing about my episode with SHVS system malfunction and how it got resolved. Maybe through u it might help someone. 😊 I brought brezza zxi MT in april 2023. Everything was fine with the car. But after a few months in November i noticed that SVHS battery is getting normally charged while decelerating but it is not giving torque assist when i need sharp acceleration. SVHS battery stayed full as it was not getting used for Auto on/off or Torque assist. I gave up and thought this SHVS system is just a gimmick to fool customers. But since the car was otherwise running normally. I ignored the shvs malfunction. One day at evening i was coming home and i stopped the car at a place to pick someone (i live in a cold climate place with freezing winter) the person came and i push started the car but it wasnt starting. I asked a few guys to push the car and it started, i thought maybe the battery had discharged in the cold so i went home. Next morning i started the car it started normally and i left. Once again midway i had to turn off the car to show my documents to traffic police and when i came back the car couldn't start. Again i had to ask a few people to push and it started. But i realized that my car had a problem with engine bay battery. I went to service center and told them about it. I also complained about the shvs malfunction. They opened the bonnet and began checking the battery with voltmeter and hydrometer. They felt the battery was ok. The car started and they told me that if it happens again then do tell us we might have to give u new battery. I went home. The shvs was still not working. (They thought this happened because of cold temp.) Tomorrow the same happened and car couldn't start. I phoned them and they directed me to main service center. I told the guy that i got problem with main battery and shvs system. He understood the problem and told me right away that the problem was with the main battery (engine bay wali). He SAID THAT In ORDER FOR SHVS to function the MAIN BATTERY UNDER the BONNET SHOULD CONSISTENTLY give voltage above 12V but since my main battery was dead thats why car couldn't self start and shvs wasnt working as well. They opened the bay and took the white Exide Conservo battery and temporarily placed their service batter Exide mileage (red) and ordered a new exide mileage battery under warranty. We test rode the car with their battery and after running for a few kilometers, the shvs started giving torque assist and engine start stop also started working. I was so relieved 😌. They said that once my new battery comes they will call and put that battery in my car. After a month they called and gave me a brand new Exide Mileage battery under warranty. I was vary happy that problem solved. Please spread the word that for shvs to work properly the main battery should work properly. If main battery gets weaker then SHVS doesnt work properly.
